Sure, they just try to strike and spit venom out of love... This guy is an adrenaline junkie, and with the amazing equipment he has there's no excuse as to why he couldn't just film the animal from a few meters away without stressing it and putting his own life in danger. We literally see the animal better on those shots. He risks the animals and his own life for views and the rush. Nothing special going on.

If you are proud about your pristine wild habitat, stop encroaching into wild animals territory, stop slaughtering and poaching them, and prevent these ignoramus adrenaline junkies from making fun of wild life by playing dangerous games with them. Best thing to do is to keep the distance and observe them, not by harassing and disturbing them in their own habitat. These stupid bored idiots from western developed countries make these interactions sound like fun and easy whereas it is absolutely dangerous to interact with wild life of this kind. These are the same screwed up people from countries with too much money where they keep majestic wildlife in cages in zoos for stupid idiots to entertain themselves. These are the same people torture and kill chimps and monkeys in laboratories for their 'medicine' related experiments. What we need is to put these ignorant idiot junkies in cages for harrassing and disturbing wildlife. There are enough stupid sports out there for these adrenaline junkoids to practise and enjoy. Wildlife needs to be a no go zone for such activities.

yes I hear you and glad to see you working it thru mentally as it is a mental game - actually having a fear is natural in some forms - just convince yourself that your fear is lack of understanding for the unknown - so the more you learn the more comfortable you are with the relationship you have with them - the end result does not have to be wrestling an Anaconda to prove you have no more fear haha just a greater understanding...IMHO

Pretty crazy , Bro. Since forever I've dreamed of adventuring on the islands of Bornéo, Sumatra, Java & all of the Indonésien archipelago, to discover first hand the wonders of the rich flora & fauna therein, & the beautiful & timeless cultural treasures, as exemplified by gamelan music & shadow plays, unlike any other in the world. Your intimate experiences with all of those cobras & kraits shows yet again another dimension of life on an Indonesian island. To kiss the back of the head of a 5 M King Cobra, on the island of Bornéo, on the other hand, requires a high level of knowledge & skill, so all I can say is Kudos! You've done it!

Hey Miller, if you see this first off I want to say I’m a massive fan and I have been watching for nearly 7 years. The first video I watched of yours was the stingray giving birth. Anyways, I just had a video/series idea that I think would be extremely fun, interesting, and pull in a lot of views. Basically, the idea is that you go throughout Australia targeting, and looking for specific endangered species and filming a whole episode about that animal. For example you could do a video on the Numbat. Not only I assume this would be fun for you and the viewers, but this is a phenomenal way to shed light on conservation and the sadness of deforestation and other environmental impacts. Each episode would be like a spotlight to inform and teach about conservation and these amazing animals. I really hope you see this either way, thanks for your time.

I really enjoyed these two videos. The gentle music with your respect towards the locals feels perfectly matched to my own memories of the island. My first visit to Borneo was for 2 months in 1990 when I traveled from Tanjun Puting (where I think you are filming) to Bako and Niah in Sarawak. Sabah lives in my dreams of things to come. I love all of nature but especially the herping. Thank you for sharing the IG accounts of your guides. This kind of travel isn't for many but it is nice to know they may get more work from this. Travelers are a dual-edged sword. They come for culture but bring their own that slowly engulf all the past. Yet, they can also be a means to preserve by creating an income thriving on history, and nature, and in keeping alive the best parts of tradition.

@@MillerWilson Yes, I was very lucky. My adventures were somewhat like yours long before the internet and cell phones. I played with Orangs, held cobras, and walked amongst the komodos. I talked to Shamans and went on retreats with monks. I was haunted by local spirits and enticed by local beauty. It was the dream I had since I was a child, to be somewhat like the great adventurers but with respect and admiration for all that I beheld. Life is simpler now but still, there are some great moments, many local and some abroad. --- Excited for part 3! Keep 'em coming.

I think the most beautiful thing in this video was seeing locals love the wildlife around them. I grew up half Greek, snakes as well as some other animals are just considered evil and everyone fears any species of snake especially. Borneo has been on my bucket list for a long long time, just for orangutans!
@MillerWilson
@MillerWilson Жыл бұрын
Yes well @Diaz is your man for orangutans and he is so funny - his family are the rangers at the National Parks so you get a real tour - my orangutan video will be out next week Part 3 actually so that will give you a great taster of what it is all like - The locals made this trip amazing with their friendliness and as you say connection to their surroundings cheers Miller

It would be so cool if you visit Chappell island off Tasmania. The largest tiger snakes live there, also they are jet black and have adapted to eating chicks of seabirds instead of eating frogs. The adaption they have made from living in swamps to a island with little water is really interesting. There are other islands with similar tiger snakes but the ones on Chappell island are the largest. Great video btw.

what a magnificent place, I can't believe how lush that forest is. What do the people do for work besides tourism? How do they eat, do they farm, do they trade do they even have shops reasonably close? That is definitely a place I'd like to see

Good questions! - Farming & Fishing mainly but due to the Palm Oil companies taking over - they also work at the plantations - Actually Indonesia is thinking of moving their capitol city to Borneo so that will be impactful in many ways - they seem to have little produce shops in every 10th house - my next episode coming out within the next week will be on Orangutans so that will also show another side of the country to witness - thanks for your interest cheers Miller
