I see a lot of people posting comments that they would like to have these frogs as pets. This is a great concern to me as my intention when uploading this video was to create awareness & not demand. These frogs are already under threat & by buying one as a pet you are contributing towards their extinction. Please I urge you not to support the illegal trade in South African wildlife. Dean

I had a pet human once.. he did the most hilarious things; every time I brought out his probe he'd make these funny high pitched noises from the hole in his upper carapace. *sigh* I miss him; one time, when we landed on a field to stock up on cow parts he just wandered off.. You are technically correct: All baby frogs DO start out as tadpoles, but some grow in their parents body like we do, then come out as tiny frogs, The more you know.
