Cleetus was lifting his head bc he only had 4 bolt heads. It was blowing water out making it highly dangerous at speeds above 175 under full boost. Drained the water to prevent an catastrophic failure to occur. He was over boosting for what texas speed built the motor to handle! Ended up blowing up, however the bald eagles were soaring high that day and a new world record was set! The end

while i do appreciate these stick shift h-pattern guys for their effort and obvious performance,it is still one of those records where you start with something not ideal for acceleration and end up with these records which are not nearly as good as hp would indicate.same with lets say radial tires.you acquire a 4000 hp engine and put 275 radials on your car and start chasing world records. this myriad of all kind of records still has academic interest to me so thanks to kyle and the gang for these vids.maybe it s the fact that my 64 malibu was a h-pattern 4 speed with big block when i bought it with all the innate problems .
