@@matildariverwaldennews and you got to be chief engineer and tame the beast! I grew up with mechano and a mamod steam engine which i promptly mechanized building steam powered vehicles and other stuff. Today it's classic cars. Real steam is a bit too difficult for this amateur engineer!

Excellent Matilda, again. When they built this it was too large for the railways to cope transporting those weights, so it had to be in sections and assembled on site. They do intend restoring more of the light railway. Great access for you and the staff obviously inspired by your enthusiasm were so helpful. Great camera work again. (Kempton is very close to my home)

What a fantastic place!!!! It's hard to believe how close the public is permitted to the running machine. If it was here in America the public would be in a different building watching on a TV!!!! Congrats to the Brits for keeping history alive!!! Thanks

🎉Absolutely awesome the size of these engines pure skills in making them keeping them running and it's brilliant that volunteers are operating them, can you imagine the time and effort building these things from the very first piece to the last piece being put together, and many years ago it would have been a lot harder making this I'm totally in ore of the skills involved, well thanks again matilda and mum for your post and take care and be happy 🎉🎉

No computers or internet to help them back in those days. Everything designed and drawn on paper and them machined or cast in whatever metal suited the particular part.

@@golden.lights.twinkle2329 yes They really we’re craftsmen, absolutely amazing, I think there are pros and cons to computers it’s made some lazy and even made some designs worse, but for people like me I could never have got my name out without been at the mercy and control of mainstream media if at all!

Fantastic fantastic video of an unbelievably wonderful machine. I could go on and on!!! I’d be just as excited and happy as you are! My ‘day job’ is an orchestral french horn player. I would absolutely LOVE to play some massively loud piece, Wagner probably, in that space! Beats the opera house hands down

Yeah home educated, I’m so glad I wasn’t in the system, it sucks the life out of you and forms you into what they believe you should be 🤗 my mum said she only started learning after she left school, she’s worked all her life and supported us 🤣

@@matildariverwaldennews exactly . I only started learning when i left school . ''all i learnt at school , was how to dare not break a rule'' you are very blessed to have a wise mum. my Dad was a head teacher and fought the system , he wrote a book ''Let Our Children Learn''

@@matildariverwaldennews what a shame , but she knew how to bring you up😊 my mum was very conservative too and still is and could never understand why I loathed the goverment system, something inside me knew it was evil, but she couldn't see it .but Dad almost died fighting it and had a nervous breakdown and retired at 52 He is 81 now and still going strong. anyways keep the videos coming ☺
