WORLDS QUICKEST AWD AUDI - 1566BHP HST AUDI TT - 7.36 @ 185mph

The HST Turbo Tuning team were back at Doorslammers at Santa Pod Raceway with their 1566bhp Audi TT, which is running a billet VR6 R32 Block, and clutch-less sequential gearbox. When I get more details on the car I will add them in...
They put in several 7 second passes, with the quickest being a 7.36 @ 185mph, and the fastest being a 7.37 @ 191mph. They called it a day after those runs, to ensure they could get the car home in one piece, as they have a billet crank ready to go in, and ready for more power. Will we see a 6 second 200mph run, from this car..........STAY TUNED

@tylerstickle2957 vw suffer with chain stretch and tensioners that disintegrate. Any other manufacturer a chain is great but VAG definitely missed the mark with theirs sadly.

​@MrSaltysReefTank I would still much rather put my trust in a chain than a piece of rubber at 1550bhp but to each their own. I had a 2.8 vr6 with 165k on it that purred like a kitten and is still driving around my town to this day with well over 200k I'm sure at this point. Once that belt gets stretched once it's gonna snap atleast you can usually catch symptoms ahead of time with the chain slap etc. Just my opinion though

They should take the car to a wind tunnel and figure out where they can make improvements. More power and less weight isn't always the only answer. Good answer, but less drag or increased air to the turbo often goes well with more power and less weight.

From what I understand, this awd only works in first gear, at the time of burnout it puts the 3rd gear that does not have awd, that is, there is also no loss of power at high speed Obviously this is all my speculation, since I saw a v8 awd project where the awd was on in first gear, in 2nd 3rd and 4th gear it was off so as not to generate a loss of power due to the awd. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pZrPZKOXl9eCrbc this car heave the awd only in the first gear to the launch.

That is my understanding of billet. One solid piece, that is machined, rather than individual parts.

It's a completely custom block made to your dimensions. Walls thicker stronger webbing were the crank goes also way thicker. They'll build it to your specifications. Not factory spec.
