For some reason I picture Varian singing this song to Rapunzel while she's already packing his bag in the background. Like he's nerding out about his book to her, showing her the maps, inventions, and such while she's casually gathering all the things he'll need when he's not paying attention and giving him the packed bag at the end of the song. I also picture them riding one of those wheely ladders fancy libraries have on the last note.

A great theme song for Varian if he had his own spin-off. Whether it be the V&7K storyline or a totally new storyline (I'm thinking up with my own Varian spin-off fanfic loosely based off V&7K but an original story with it's own characters), I believe this song would suit Varian very well. I imagine Varian by the age of 18 would have a desire to see more of the world and have his own adventures. Even if things were going great for him with his dad proud of him, he has many friends like Rapunzel and the gang, he has a great career as Royal Engineer and all of his mistakes are all in the past (though in my story they may come back to haunt him in a small way)...deep down...I reckon he'd have a desire for more.
