Big JJF fan... Personally, I don't think he got that last score, but i did think it would be close, so i don't find it egregious. The whole heat was very slow, with weak surf. Tough heat for all of them. Should be better waves after the storm for the next round.

John looked absolutely terrible in this heat. He just couldn’t find a wave with a bit of bowl to work with. In a heat that was surfed as badly as this it’s hard to cry robbery.

I don't understand, a beach breaks extremely technical. Were you drop below sea level and don't even have to paddle. Nobody else on tour can do that except a few of them.

@@manro0211 the new format had so much potential. Imagine if they took the top 5 on a week long boat trip in indo or something. Round robin heats, heaps of different waves, go surf 10 foot macaroni’s for the final.
