It's been a while since I last watched a Ding Ning's game. She has IMPROVED TREMENDOUSLY in both of her speed and strength. I couldn't believe it. Standing closer to the table, hitting the ball much at an earlier timing and with a more sudden contraction. What a dedication she has put in.

+Shih Yuin Chew Yes Ding Ning is very consistent on both sides, back hand and forehand. Reminds me little bit of the great Wang Nan, when she was in her prime, winning multiple singles and doubles world titles. Ding has a good chance of getting that triple world crown if she can keep up this form.
Glad to see Chen Meng back to her form after the injury in a match with Zhu YuLing.

Ding Ning's style somewhat resembles Xu Xin, lefthanded, swift footwork with a powerful forehand.

Well I know they do. However, female tournament play seems to be dominated by players that block, do quick drives, and chop. So it doesn't make sense for most players to step back off of the table when their opponent is playing so close to the table. It's crazy how differently the #10 players style is compared to the top 3.
