A little bit off-topic here, but does anybody know what's up with Fan Zhendong? He's not playing at the Finals, and missed both the Champions in Montpellier and Frankfurt. In fact, I don't know if I've seen him after the Olympics in Paris.

Fan talked about the extreme pressure on Chinese table tennis players and how it has taken a toll on him. He needed time off the game, so with securing the biggest achievement he decided to do just that and basically ended his 2024 season on that triumph. He took a victory tour and enjoyed life outside the game, but has since also started training seriously again, so expect him back in full force in 2025.
