According to the Scoreboard, at 4:20 Shiono (in the background) wins the 3rd set 11:3 and 2 seconds later Shiono (now in the foreground) leads in the 5th. Am I missing something?

Shiono has pushed himself beyond his chopping rally endurance, every point count. final set indeed he lost but his sportsmanship is outstanding. A good smile.

First 3 games was full of unforced errors and loose shots from Shiono. He got better after that but Kim sneaked in the win at the end.

I think many Korean players at that period are good at dealing with defensive players, because they might practice much with Joo Sehyuk.

6:35 crucial point! If Shiono had killed that high bouncing ball, it would have been a great mental advantage. Like this, Kim could attack more and more and be sure, Shiono wouldn't attack too often.

I think that Kim could do much better, after leading 3-0 Kim was really bored at the defender and just wanted the match to end, which did lead to a close match! Good play from both player and the match was nice to watch! :)

Kim knows how to play with defenders. He destroyed the defender effortlessly.

One more amazing game by Masato Shiono! But we should admit that Kim is too good vs. the defence

The first three games reminded me of the match between Kim and Chen Weixing at China Open, where he simply slaughtered Chen.
