I noticed that the SWOOSH effect in the Worldvision Home Video logo was probably achieved by mixing Moog Effect 9 and Moog Effect 8 together and slowing the two tracks a bit, before adding a reverb effect to make the SWOOSH sound longer.

Funny thing was whenever the world vision home video logo used to play when I was younger I was actually scared of it. I would hide behind the sofa until it disappeared

This was actually the first logo in my life that scared me. The animation of the "WORLDVISION" text zooming out while the globe zoomed in unsettled me for some reason and the "wwwwhOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH" was perceived by me when I was little as a very unpleasant and scary sound. I used to see it at the end of "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo" on Boomerang and was avoiding that show like the plague bc of that damn logo. I remember laying on the floor bawling my eyes out in fear after seeing it lol. Now I got over it ofc.

I remember it like it was yesterday. Which was around 1990 at two years old when I first seen it and was petrified myself every time I heard the frightening fanfare sound along with the big scary looking "W" at the top of the screen.

I was scared of that logo too when I was a kid and I am still scared of it now that I’m older. With the whooshing sound and that eerie music, very scary logo.

The various titles once distributed by Worldvision are now under various entities. Hanna-Barbera and Ruby-Spears shows that Worldvision once distributed (i.e., not owned by another co-producing company) are now in the hands of Warner Bros. Animation, the modern day animation division of Warner Bros. Entertainment, with one exception. While Rambo: The Force of Freedom was distributed by Worldvision on original airing in first-run syndication, its rights reverted to co-producer Carolco Pictures (which coincidentally licensed its library to Worldvision for US TV distribution in 1992) upon the show's conclusion, it is now owned by Carolco successor StudioCanal. The rest of the library Worldvision distributed is now owned by two different subsidiaries of Paramount Global. The theatrical films distributed by Worldvision (except those produced by Hanna-Barbera, part of WB except for Charlotte's Web, owned by Paramount), which in its last years as a separate distributor was the syndication arm of Spelling Entertainment Group, are now under Paramount Pictures. Theatrical films that Spelling owned lock stock and barrel at its merger with Paramount are under the Melange Pictures in-name-only unit, formerly Republic Pictures. There were also many films that Worldvision only had the US TV rights to, like the libraries of Carolco Pictures and Weintraub Entertainment Group. Paramount holds these rights today as well. The rest of Worldvision's TV library is owned by CBS Studios under its Spelling Television unit, likewise in-name-only. Some Spelling-produced TV shows were once distributed by a company other than Worldvision, like Dynasty, which was distributed first by Metromedia, then 20th Century Fox (though Worldvision did hold the rights to Dynasty: The Reunion). The distribution rights to these shows reverted to CBS in 2006.

It appears the Hanna-Barbera library also includes "Man from Atlantis", which wasn't actually produced by them but was the only program from a sister studio, Solow Production Company, under Taft ownership. The Hanna-Barbera logo appears on the back of the show's home video releases from WB. Edit (9/6/2023): This is because Solow Production Company was the live-action unit of Hanna-Barbera

There were a number of TV series and movies that Worldvision only held TV distribution rights to as well, including a lot of the shows it inherited from ABC Films, its predecessor company. Some of these shows are no longer distributed by what is now CBS Media Ventures, such as the 1960s version of The Addams Family, which is now owned and distributed by MGM Television, successor to Filmways and Orion Television.

The silent, all-red-background one always seemed creepy and I couldn't figure out why I was creeped by it. Then for the first time in about 20 years, I put my mind to it. The all-red-background brought back memories of my view as a 5-year-old. They were the same memories I had for the all-blue-background of final boss levels on (NES) Super Mario Bros 2. And the white outlines emerging looked creepy like a spiderweb. Then when the logo was there, and the bold words also in white and not across the screen like the black and white animation with music, memories came back that in my opinion, it sort of resembled an intro of a Mario game. And that the red background either hinted evil, or hellish. Just the appearance of the name of the company and the letters in bold white, always looked to me like the title of like a Mario game.

The Worldvision 1989 and/or 1991 logo was taken from older George of the Jungle reruns on Tom & Jerry's TBS Funhouse on TBS from 1989 to 1994. I know on that channel, the logo also appeared at the end of the individual segments of the original GOTJ show (title show, Super Chicken and Tom Slick). The logo variant was on George of the Jungle repeats whenever it was on Fox Kids, ABC and Cartoon Network.
