My great grandfather and three great uncle's all served in the waffen-ss,, only one uncle survived,, grandfather died early in Barbarossa somewhere in russia..when his personals where returned,g grandma always said she always wondwred if a bolshavik had taken his extremely forbidden diary or had his comrade has burnned it... He also served in the great war so as an old hand he didn't quite follow all the rules... By the way just for the record my people where heros of the fatherland, professional soldiers who'd been in more combat (not murdering) than of any of their adversaries, and died as men against the spread of communist bolshavism into the fatherland and indeed western europa,(the channel was stalins goal) ,theynot nazis, and did not kill women children or old people, and in fact where welcomed by those they attempted to free.....
