I’ll be alone some of th time, so are th good at hosting / tourist guides safe and good? Say if I had a guide take me along how much is that kinda thing? We was told we get ¥1.73 Turkish lira to our British pound. Also is it safe for me to walk around alone (respectfully clothed) as a lone woman?

Turkey is really safe. Just like Europe for us... especially don’t worry about Antalya, there’s enough tourists around you! Walking alone won’t be an issue. Antalya is very open-minded and modernised 😄we did a free walking tour in Antalya but didn’t have a guide with us for the other time there

Hadrian's Gate, one of Antalya's most important and well-preserved historical monuments, built in 130 AD. in honor of the arrival of Emperor Hadrian in Antalya. The construction, called the Hadrian's Gate due to its three-arched entrance structure, is located directly above the city walls, on Atatürk Street, and leads to Kaleiçi. The gates, with the exception of the decorative columns, are made of white marble. On both sides of the building there are towers decorated with reliefs and beautiful carvings. These towers belong to the Hadrian period. The upper parts of the gate were built in the time of the Seljuks. Thus, they have traces of both the Romans and the Seljuks. This is a magnificent creation that must be seen

Fascinating and elegant depictions of Zeus and Aphrodite, dating back 2 thousand years, were unearthed during the excavations carried out in the Two-Storey Shops-Stoa area. Thanks for watching! There are some drone rules in certain places (like you can't fly it at the historical sites). Some of the drone footage is ours (like in the mountains), but the historical sites is actually stock footage as we couldn't fly it there.

Not in the city of Antalya itself but it's pretty near (maybe 40 mins drive from the downtown). We combined it with a visit to Perge Ruins.

There are generally signs where you can't fly your drone! so defiitely check that. We didn't need any registration when we were there!

Not 100% sure since we were there in October. But we did find this information on the visit Turkey website regarding spring flowers: “Natural flower show starts around mid-April and continues throughout the end of spring and will totally blow your mind!”

I want to visit Turkey at least once. Should I go to Antalya first or Istanbul? Does anyone have any other recommendations?
@worldwildhearts
@worldwildhearts 3 жыл бұрын
It depends on the type of traveling you want to do. Antalya has better weather and has a more relaxed vibe. There are also many historical sites and other beach towns within close proximity. Whereas Istanbul is a huge city with a lot more city activities available. But if you’re flying to somewhere like Cappadocia during your trip, then it seems better to fly from Istanbul as the majority of flights connect through there anyways

I agree with the uploader. I personally chose Antalya for many reasons, but mainly because there was much more to see around there. From Antalya you can go by land to Cappadocia. On the downside however, the old town is quite small, and you can see everything in a day. After a while you'll get tired of walking past the same shops everyday. So if you want more city life, than I agree that Istanbul is a better option.

I recommend you to visit rather north blacksea region such as Trabzon, Rize, Artvin or Kars on NE

Is it better, to rent a car to visit all that nice places ? i think it will be cheaper then a taxi, right ? or is it possibel with a bus ?
@worldwildhearts
@worldwildhearts 2 жыл бұрын
Renting a car is pretty cheap in Turkey! So we do recommend that so you have all the freedom and flexibility. But you can also take taxis indeed… it’s okay to do that to closer attractions such as the lower Duden falls. We couldn’t figure out the tram system there as we needed to register some health code because of covid at that time

Nice! You will enjoy Antalya 👍in terms of drone use, yes it was allowed when we were there a couple years ago. With the usual stipulations of not flying over buildings or people or cars or historic sites. Here are the most up-to-date drone rules for Turkey: brusselsmorning.com/must-known-drone-laws-in-turkey-in-2023/28851/
