the gear teeth is straight, not by Involute formulas, is it a common practice is industrial design? or you just make simple profile for this presentation? i am new to this area. sorry for this question is it is too simple.

Here we are just learning CAD software for the given drawing not the theoretical process as we don't know the usage, load and problem statement. And don't be sorry for asking questions

This is lame!! You're not using an involute curve hence this is technically not a gear. It's just something that visually looks like a gear but in reality it's not!
