I love how players like Russ make it seem so effortless! He's truly taken the time to master the fretboard and his instrument! I hope to get there someday

Totally agree. Russ is a master of the banjo and Ricky only has the best in his band. I can only hope to pick up little tips from his fantastic playing, as I know I'll never be that good, but I just enjoy banjo pickin'. '. 😁

Such sweet sounding banjo playing. Not just crazy fast, hard driving all about the banjo type playing. Whether playing along with other players or on his own, Russ, like Earl, is making a lot of people fall in love with the banjo again. Perfect timing, taste and tone.

Son you are fastly becoming my favorite banjo picker. For years on top of years old JD has been my favorite and I still love his style, but you my friend are starting to trespass on his territory. Love to hear you play brother, keep the videos coming. I always said JD was the only man I would let sign my banjo but if I ever run into you I would be honored and proud to have your signature on my rb4.

So well done. I don't usually listen to a banjo by itself, (unless I'm entering the Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland) but I can listen to this all day.

Watching this, it just crossed my mind you could build a banjo to all your favourite design specs and sell it as a Russ Carson model banjo with your name on the PegHead. Now that would be one Awsome banjo. 😉👍

How am I going to explain to my wife that I need another banjo just for this song.........
@stinger2233 жыл бұрын
Hey Russ, got a question, my banjo has developed an echo when I play (keep in mind I'm still learning and actually teaching myself to play) could you point me in some directions to look at to correct this? There's nobody near me who I can take it to.

Hi Russ, Not sure if you read these posts but I hope you do as I can't find an email address to contact you direct. Ricky Mier recently used one of your video's from your Instagram account to explain your rolling backup over Vince Gill High Lonesome Sound. As I don't use any social media except for KZbin. Would you be so kind as to post the original video clip here on your channel. Thank You.
