That dock was a door riper. Boy no room for error or a longer chain on the door would have let it get caught as you drove out. It’s funny how it always lands in the drivers lap. That door should be widened to accommodate the 102 inch trailers, and not having drivers be ever so carefull so they don’t damage their equipment backing in and driving out from an out dated door dimension . Alice you did a nice job on matching the music to the video and it gave a real nice audio and video presentation. My tire problems always game in three’s. Ya got that reefer running fine Martin. It’s funny how different units deal with different kinds of lubrication. Years back following on old V-12 Detroit for a few hundred miles you may have picked up some of its slobbering. The frames on a V-12 were always oil bathed. But then did pull for its time. Anywho guys great video and music. A great audio and visual experience. Thanks for posting. Have a great and a safe day. Happy trails to you, D…

More than enough room for a trailer there.

Hey Martin, real glad to see ya got an 18 spd for Mama's ATM. Kinda surprised about the oil. When I bought my last truck she came from the factory with Delo. I had the dealer change it to Delvac. 1.075 million miles later her N14+ was still running strong when I sold her and retired.

For dark docks one thing I got that helps a lot (wouldn’t in this case) but I put a trux 2” led light about 3 crossmembers forward on my drivers side shining on the tandems and back. That way if it’s dark and they do have lines or a concrete seam you can flip it on when you open up and see what you’re doing.
@mortimer_snide7704 күн бұрын
@Halfstep2024, for dark or indoor docks I went cheap and just put a lantern style flashlight next to the dock bumper and as long as I could see it I was good to go. 🙂

A battery-powered grinder is handy to have on the truck. A You Tuber trucker had a blowout on a rear drive tire that bent the mud flap hanger against the wheel. He had to cut the hanger off so he could limp to the tire shop at the next exit. Safe travels. 😊

The quickest way to dry out a reefer is to provide cold, dry air instead of warm or hot humid air. Setting it at around 34 or 33 degrees should work.
@TruckingTogether4 күн бұрын
Doesn’t work well when cold, the best way on a cold day is letting box temp get hot then turn it to cold.

Notice the sticker on your primer pump. There is a banjo bolt with a filter. Clean that filter when you PM. If it has rubber coated washers, replace them with copper washer. Pump the primer pump until you feel resistance. It will start and run without all that grief.
@TruckingTogether3 күн бұрын
The primer pump is junk on every thermo king and screen gets cleaned everytime. It won’t run when it sucks air through the sediment filter that needs bypassed.

fuel systems are like straws, if it leaks it drains back to the tank, which is usually the lowest point on almost all trucks. check the bolts in the cross yoke shaft clutch fork there was a recall on those a few years ago. oil is oil, all comes out of the ground, put on a ship, sent to different refiners, the additives is the only difference. different brands are better on some engines for sure.

I was just wondering where you find your trucks seems like you usually can find pretty good deals. Any advice would be awesome. I have been trucking since 2008 and I’m deciding I believe I want to try to buy my own truck and go out on my own. Thanks for the great videos. Stay safe.

I talked to trucking with Schmidt to see what year his W900 was and he told me it was a 1999 so I think I would like to try to find an older truck like that.And your truck fancy you just sold.Just wondering if that would be the best way to go. Thank you again for taking the time to get back to me!! Usually nobody ever does.thanks again Isaac
