I was in shirdi,only fr 1 day,time was less,I wanted to shop,thn realised got my periods,was vry sad,dejected,cried a lot,fought wth baba,thn my family went fr darshan,I was walking on the road,saw a fakir staring at me,wearing pure white new kafni,then again saw him sitting in a hotel,staring at me,I was vry scared,thn I was standing near dwarkamai,as I had periods I ddnt go for darshan,I heard smone call me" beta,I looked behind,it was the same fakir,he told me he wants a bag,I asked him,whether i am supposed to pay fr it,he laughed loudly and said hw does it matter,shopkeeper was stunned,thn I told shopkeeper to gv him the bag,as I was hvng periods,bt the fakir refused and said he wants me to give him,i gave him,I was worried,if the bag wll be expensive,bt the shopkeeper took minimum money frm me,evn today i remember his face,his voice ,the feeling of brahmaand was there in his voice,the glowing beautiful skin,as if he jst took bath in milk,he went away,thn i remembered, just 2 days back was ram navami,hence his clothes were new,and he was wearing a new karni,tht was my baba,who came to console me,nothing i do,can ever be enuf,the love I hv for him,or he for me cant be measured or explained

Mam Swami Samarth Maharaj use to feed morsels to ladies who were in menstruations. He used to say that from where you come you are disrespecting by making her sit aside. In primitive ages ladies were attacked by wild animals so they were kept aside. Her weekness is not negativity. She was kept aside for rest. Hygiene should be maintained of course.

I live in the US . There is no one to help me in cooking food n lighting up the diyas at my home during my periods . Does Baba or God want to starve family if we hv periods for four days ? Menstruation is only the shedding of the endometrium along with the ovaries. I dont understand WHY it has to be such an issue to such an extent that people have to tell you dont go to holy places or kitchen because you are impure! Do they tell men if you masturbated you are impure hence you cannot come enter the kitchen or holy places?? Like what is really the issue? Does the bleeding freaks people out that they have to say you are impure? I can agree if you telling a woman to not do anything like house chores and cooking as menstruation can be painful to some people, on this point i can agree.

I respect vinny ma. But I have different opinion in this regard. No negative energy imbibe in people who are going to worship baba. I feel embarrassed if someone talks not to worship. Baba himself doesn't believe in puja karm kand. He agreed to all this karm kand because of his followers wish whom he also loved.It's just a matter of rest. Earlier there were no pads so women were kept in separate rooms and other women take care of all household things. When noone is around you and you live in a nuclear family who will take care of everything. I believe that our relationship with baba is not bound to physical body it's all about spiritual. As far as my knowledge spirits don't have body to menstruate. So I dont touch my pooja room bcoz I m born hindu so I have follow rituals but I continue to do namaskar and manasik pooja to baba. Baba is my universe and I cant stay away from him for 3 long days. If I don't take his name it feels like baba is calling me and telling why are you not coming my child 😭

You didn’t understand what exactly Vinny ma told. She just meant to avoid vaidic karm kand means going to temple lit aggarbatti and diya. That must be avoided. chanting Baba’s name or mansik namaskar ,smaran and talking to baba is not said to stop. Just continue all these. Avoid only formal pooja paath. I think you got my point

Well according me there is no harm in doing babas pooja because v all r his children he knows everything.It’s not our fault if v r going through this cycle.It’s natural.many people commit crimes etc still they go to temples .why????so I think there is no harm in puja even I m from a Hindu family earlier even I used to follow such rules like not touching holy doing puja etc etc but after so many years I changed my mind my outlook towards life v females r same in every aspect.Baba loves all so now I don’t mind doing my puja during periods.Om sai ram

I write this with utmost respect to Vinny Ma. She is one of my greatest inspirations in my journey to Sai. But I consider the taboo associated with menstruation as one of the biggest blots (along with the Caste system and horrible treatment meted out to widows) on the oldest and one of the most tolerant and peace loving faiths in the world. It may have started with the best of intentions like giving rest to a woman at that time, but it definitely grew into a tool of oppression of women and was extensively used to keep "women in their place".

Dear Vinny ma, thank you for your message. God’s energy or God itself is present in everyone. True that a menstruating women needs rest if she wants and perhaps the intention in the past in families was to give her rest and let her take care of herself. This should be every persons choice whether it’s a menstruating women or an old person who needs rest. But a society that makes rules that are male dominated/ focused on men being important goes with the wrong intention of secluding women and giving them a separate underrated unloved position in society. A very loud example of this is in Afghanistan! While more and more women are getting educated, families are changing bringing in revolution of concepts and equality. Respect for women and respect for men. There is no negative energy in a menstruating women because as Sai says- God is in everyone, he is also in her. If a sick person needs care and rest, we need to give them love and support and not seclude them because they are thought of having negative energy. No person, menstruating/sick/ old/injured has negative energy. They have their positive energy that they have and God’s energy in them. What we can do is give them more positive energy, hope and love to make this a compassionate place for everyone. We reincarnate to learn about love and we grow spiritually through LOVE and FREEDOM! Though I never comment on any videos on youtube, I thought I would like to give a different perspective to this topic as a woman. The " negative energy" explaination may add more grief than understanding of why one must choose not to do pooja or visit temples. The science behind it is better explained by Sinu Joseph in many videos here in you tube. She explains wonderfully on the effects of the strong vibration from temples etc on the women's sukshma sharira where the cause is created and that in turn affects her reproduction capabilities in the physical body if she were to visit during her menstruating days . More can be garnered from her videos that I believe every woman must watch to have a more positive understanding of the why we women were adviced to stay away from these high energy fields. It's for our benefit and not on the contrary as made to beleive, a punishment. Stay blessed.

Even mensuration is sort of cleansing but the process is quite painful and this creates disturbance in mind and the cleansing energy is flowing downwards, whereas the temple energy or divine energy does cleansing by moving upward! So the impact when both energies hit each other can be dangerous! This is told in Agnihotra tradition also!

As many of us i too dont have helping hand while having monthly cycle.. So i have to cook for me n husband.. On daily basis we offer food to baba in our shrine .. Den we take it as prasad.. So during periods we dont offer that food to baba n other god in our puja shrine.. My husband offer some fruits or dry fruits to god at that time .. N d food i cook during periods..before having it ,i offer it mentally to baba n god. So i agree completely with vinni maa.. As purity matter(pure soul and pure body)

May be it's Baba's blessings. So after going through everything that was written I came to one conclusion, we are the generation of debate for everything. There is a Linga Bhairavi temple in Tamil Nadu where menstrual ladies offer prayers and as well are even priests And Mr.Janardan Pujara gave equal rights to widows by training them as priests and carry on to worship in Gokarnatha temple in mangalore breaking all the taboos. My mother was not so highly educated yet she never allowed anyone to treat us like untouchables we are three girls Pls do not take it offensively but I think it’s a personal opinion

Nice advise sister. In fact holy Quran and Leviticus of old testament has termed certain things like this as unholy. To get full results of our God devotion, also one should not engage in physical relations, be physically clean by bathing, wearing clean clothes while going to any temples or God worship. Menstrual blood is a waste blood expelled out, so it's not clean. It's almost akin to other expulsions like urine and feaces that are waste. If that blood had been cleaned, it wouldn't have been expelled out. Many women will not agree.

I respect vinny chitluri mam.But i too have a different opinion. I just have a vision .. if i love saibaba , and im just crazy after him .. soo much that i forget what im wearing at that time or what state i am in. Worshipping lord crazily .. that we forget our body and state , will we look back and stop ourselves just because we are having periods. I dont think pure love needs any rules. And I think baba is the one who changed his concepts according to time, state and person. Baba blessed devotees at that time ..to have a second marriage (when they already had a wife ) , I don't think someone doing a second marriage just to get progeny is justified now at this time. So ,many things are different now , and we should change our perceptions too. As baba is not just baba from the old shirdi ..he is also in hearts of these younger people. Also, neither a leper is negative (when he has oozing pus all over his body which is much more harmful to hygiene than period's blood) nor a menstruating woman. Ofcourse maintaining hygiene is important but it was also misused to practice untouchability in older times. I just find this period rules nothing else than another kind of untouchability. Its not vinny maa ,its her conditioning speaking. As i believed this too one year back , but i put aside this fear ..and this was the best step that my husband helped me to move to. I'm sorry if i hurt someone's sentiments. But , I felt like expressing. I respect opinion of others. But i will listen to my soul.The other concept mam mentioned are based on love .... like sharing food and chanting lord's name. But ,this one cant be taken as universal. Also , satcharitra mentions some things which seem odd (a line from satcharitra sounds odd to me always.." when adharma increases ..when people from lower caste try to take rights of brahmins" something like that. But it sounds absurd now. I am remembering that story from satcharitra , of dr pandit. Baba never allowed someone to touch his forehead ,while he said nothing to dr pandit drawing a tripund over his forehead. I think its all about intention. If you think its not good , it will be like that. If you think , only love matters , it becomes like that. Not everyone knows you that deeply as Baba ,and no one else can become baba. 😊 Sai Sai

Baba mentioned to hemandpant, but anybody can follow it, bring it to practice. Offer food,water,tea,coffee,snack anything FIRST to The Brahman, The Sadguru & then have it..that's d message. Why it needs to b done that way is written in Satcharithra. My humble thoughts on those. Jaisairam🙏👣
