I have been listening to this song yesterday before going to sleep and the entire night (or at least as long as I was awake) I was reminded of this verse in Song of Songs 8, where it says "love is as strong as death, its jealousy as fierce as the grave" and it's called "the very flame of the LORD". Could it be that this song is referring a little bit to this? In Song of Songs 1:2 it says: "Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy love is sweeter than wine." It says: "Let him kiss me [...]". So it is him kissing us, not us kissing him. We give ourselves to Him as He gave Himself to us. I am reminded of when Mary anointed the feet of Jesus with precious oil, how the fragrance of it filled the entire house. Will the fragrance of our worship also fill the house of God in its entirety?
