I think it might be because the words are claiming “my fear.” Scripturally, God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, of love and a sound mind. We do need to be careful with our words, what we speak over our lives and others.’ I think it would have been better to sing, “Fear doesn’t stand a chance…”. When I’ve been in situations when this song comes up, that’s how I’ve sung it.

Worship is also my weapon. I use it every day...especially now. I am being seriously threatened with eviction, due to the false accusation of criminal activity, even though I don't have a police record. A member of the apt. staff came into my home and demanded I throw away my picture of Jesus and my Bible. I would not. She then told me that she would come up with a way to make me lose everything and live on the street. So, she placed false accusations of criminal activity in my records, so I cannot rent another place. That is why I am worshiping God even more passionately. He is my only help, and he will rescue me.

Remember that scripture about how we can rejoice when they falsly accuse you because of Jesus name because it first happened to Jesus and all the prophets. And Jesus said no servant is better than his master so it will also happen to us. Also read Psalm 37. It is encouraging. And try to pray for your enemies.

Scripture says we are to "be thankful in all circumstances."( 1 Thessalonians 5:18) Not having an earthly spouse can be interpreted as "Barrenness', or we can rejoice in our higher calling to devote to the Lord. I myself struggled for years in the area of relationships, questioning why the Lord doesn't give me a Godly husband with whom I can go to church, sit next to each other and listen to the preach, etc. During those years my heart was cold and I knew I wasn't seeing eye to eye to Jesus. But Father God Himself ministered to me in the desert of my faith. St. Paul commends that we as Christians are to behave as if we are not married even if we are...(1Cor. 7:29) I used to avoid the Scripture from Isaiah "Your Maker is your husband." But getting old, I am content that He really is taking care of every area of my life in this foreign land without any family around me. God 's ways are not our ways. But Ms. Springer, I will pray for you that He will give you your heart's desire. Psm 37: 4

I am praying for a breakthrough to stop fearing tomorrow since I have a progressive, debilitating disease that causes physical pain.... I am so much more grounded in my faith now and- mostly - can rest in Jesus arms -in His transcendental Shalom- still there are some days I let my pain fill my heart with fear about if I can handle the future. Of course I can, with His help, but that doesn't stop my flesh from battling with fear at times. I have prayed for healing diligently (with others) for over 20 years, but I still have this fleshly battle that some find difficult to "sit with" - assuming it is my lack of faith that prevents me from receiving a complete healing. It gets tiring explaining that I couldn't possibly stop God from doin a miracle if it is in His will. I personally heard from God that He can use me more if He doesn't completely heal me. I don't understand how people can think He will always heal us if we ask (I remind them of Paul's thorns and that we all die sometimes....) I think it has to do with people wanting control over suffering. But I don't presume to know God's ways. I continue to ask for healing but am committed to continue to testify to His goodness EVEN IF He doesn't heal me this side of Heaven.. Although, I was sad to hear of your recent pain struggle - it was refreshing to hear from another strong Christian that God doesn't always choose to heal in the ways that we hope for... Thank you so much for this recording and for all your podcasts..... I can hear the depths of your soul worship since you have been through the suffering you have. Thank you for being authentic and sharing your vulnerable, authentic worship with us. 💕🙏🙌
