Very fluid and smooth touch! I can see, hear and feel that you have been playing for some time and posess experience...Just don't let grow that James Harden Beard to the point of getting it entangled with your Bass Fingering on that Bad Boy Bass's Frets 😁

Amazing bro! Can you do a vid on tone and bass fills?

Really diggin the bass tone you got going on. What are you running through? Tasteful interpretation of the song and cool fills. I may have or may not have stole a lick or two. Great video.

Thanks lot. I was experimenting with a few of my preamps I recently acquired. An Arkham oracle and a Broughton SSDI. Both are tube preamps. No amp sims or compression. Thankfully I worship at a church that wants me to have some freedom with the bass. Christian music can be a bit bland in the bass department so I add what I think works for the song. No one complains so I keep doing it. :)

@@schnozzberry1728 Anytime! I have been looking and searching for a good amp. They sound great. I am a worship bass player as well. Really want one with a tube preamp. Do you run them with a speaker load or just DI at church? I havent come across those particular ones in my search. I will have to check them out. i feel ya on some songs or most lol being pretty bland. Luckily I have the same freedoms to "spice it up" Some artist and groups are starting to venture out a bit thankfully and letting the bassist have a little fun. Keep it up with the videos and thanks for the response.

@@schnozzberry1728 I thought that they were full amps not just running a preamp independently. I currently use an ampeg scr-di and it does ok but I want something that I can customize the sound better on. What were you running for the house of the Lord?

@@chrishall2644 When I play at church I use an HX Stomp into the Arkham Oracle. The HX Stomp could be considered pricy but it’s the real deal. I use the Aguilar preamp into some compression then into a low/high cut block. Nothing fancy. The Arkham oracle just adds the thick tube tone I like. Then I go into a di box. For this recording I used those 2 tube preamps straight into an interface.

@@schnozzberry1728 I was previously aware of the stomp but hadnt really looked into it as I was set on getting an amp. Was going to go with the tone hammer or the markbass vintage d2. I have looked into some reviews and videos on the stomp and I went ahead and bought one. I rarely or never have a need to power a speaker so I decided to get one. Bought it today. Im going to play with running DI from just that or into the ampeg preamp that I have and eventually add a compression pedal if I cant get the compression I want out of the stomp. Thanks for changing my mind set. The stomp I think can provide more tone variations I want and can have access to than being stuck with limited tone from a single amp.
