Grace The Glad I think there is room in your journey of understanding Christian music in its totality. Not every song written by a Christian band is to be sung directly to God, where as some are - this would be 'pure worship songs' or whatever you want to label it. This particular song, I think falls into a couple of categories, celebration of who God is/what He's done, and contemporary christian music that is written to uplift the heart of the hearer. Having professional musicality and putting hard work into your music (and as a result it sounding as good as non Christian chart music), is not a negative thing.
