In the early 90s I used to have the 100W Dual Rectifier Trem-O-Verb 2x12 Combo. In its flight case it was impossible for one person to lift. Great amp and back then I used it straight with no pedals of any kind. Flexible and great sounding and a little loud!!
@worshiptutorials3 ай бұрын

One of my all time favorite amps. I currently own it’s 1st cousin, the recto-verb 25 watt head. Used it in church for years. These amps are most certainly known for the hard rock and metal tones and excel at it, but also have a solid clean channel as well. I’d still use it for Sunday services, but don’t feel like lugging a cab lol.

@calebwhitcraft16643 ай бұрын
True story, that used to be my rig. I had zero business playing it, the hardest music I ever played was pop punk, and I never had a chance to turn it up over 3 more than a few times when the gigs had amp rooms off stage. and one of those still made me turn down a little because I was shaking the walls. I still miss it, lol.
@worshiptutorials3 ай бұрын
Ha in the room with this amp through the 4x12 is quite an experience.

I’ve been using the helix preset for my metal band for a week or so and consistently loving the drive tone. I didn’t mesh with the clean so swapped out the amp, but that’s ok. Overall, IMHO, this is the best high gain tone match you’ve done so far and is far superior to the others which I found pretty much unusable for my style of playing. I’m really keen to see what you can do with other high gain amps.

@worshiptutorials3 ай бұрын
If you’re looking for a single pedal, you could get a Tonex One and run the amp captures of this amp. Otherwise the UA ANTI recently released - it’s a 5150 and gets similar sounds.

Sounds amazing, guys! As an aside, what pickups are in the McCarty? I've got an SE Paul's Guitar that I really like but the pickups get really ice-picky in single coil, and a little muddier than I'd prefer when in humbucker. Looking to potentially upgrade them.

Love the channel, so please don't get this the wrong way: Mark Tremonti (and most Recto connoisseurs) prefers the RevF. I've owned two myself and still play a RevF profile on my Kemper. Fluff (Riffs, Beards & Gear) did great videos on how/why the RevF are the desired oldschool Rectos. Again, no offense, just FYI.

Really lovely this patch! Always been a huge fan of high gain amps, and this totally rocks 🔥 One quick question: the clean snapshots have a huge volume decrease as compared to the distortion snapshots. Is this supposed to be the case? The levels would be a big mismatch if used for a live session
@ejw30063 ай бұрын
Yeah they always have that issue I noticed, kinda annoying having to dial in for the patches. It’s been the case from their older patches to their recent ones.
@brynerlee3 ай бұрын
@@ejw3006 I see! How do you usually fix this? Do you add another volume block to boost the levels on the clean snapshots?
@worshiptutorials3 ай бұрын
We dialed it in so that there wasn’t a big volume difference when we switched (you can see/hear me do it on the demo on the product page). But everyone’s guitars and playing are different, and it’s an easy fix to make. You’ll want to use the ‘Channel Volume’ parameter in the amp blocks. You can either lower that in the dirty amp block or raise it in the clean amp block until you get the balance that you want. Thanks!
@brynerlee3 ай бұрын
@@worshiptutorials thank you WT! I’ve also tried turning on the kinky boost into the clean amp. Sounds really good too!

i have a question, Why do you use the volume knob to maximum in any multieffects?
@worshiptutorials3 ай бұрын
For some units (like Helix) volume at max represents unity gain, so technically you’d get the optimal results. But in reality I don’t think it matters too much with this modern equipment.

Love these new captures and presets with the dual rectifier! Been eagerly waiting for some high gain tones from you guys. I have a Mesa Boogie Road King, which I don't get to play in church due to no amps on stage 😂(of course people would have to leave due to the amount of sound coming from it's speakers). I will definitely be using this patch very soon. Would love to see some captures and presets for a Mezzabarba amplifier

@ejw30063 ай бұрын
I like how it was Bradford with the 7 string as if Sean doesn’t have one 😂. Really only criticism I have was the clarity is not very suitable for low tuned guitars, but also for this context a 7 string is not useful for the mix and overall sound. But I bet on a 6 string it’ll have those nice harmonics that you guys always get from amps with gain.

Hey guys I miss buying just what you want instead of the whole package. Just sayin. It’s easier to spend 5 for a helix patch than 20
@worshiptutorials3 ай бұрын
The 2 are not related. We raised the price because it takes considerably more equipment to make the patches. Including all Line 6 units in one package has nothing to do with the pricing - it’s just for convenience.
