Thanks for this, a great version. I didn't really think much of this song until I sang it at church and the lyrics really struck me. I want to change my life for Christ but whenever I set foot in a church I feel sad, lost and confuse, I feel as I don't belong there its like something is trying to stop me, i always feel like crying when I go in a church.. Elisico Ellis I just thought I would reach out to you, to try to comfort you, ease your sadness and offer some advice. A good church is hard to find, so many of them have their own agenda and take part in dubious practices. Please stay away from the Catholic church or any other church which places others before Jesus. Avoid the big commercial churches, which usually preach prosperity, the more you give the more you will receive, this statement is true but only when you give of yourself, not money!! When you are alone quietly ask Jesus to forgive your past sins, ask him to guide you in the right path and accept that he lived and died and rose again as a sign of his love for you!! That's right, he loves you, he is waiting for you to invite him into your heart and to dwell within your soul. Seek Christian fellowship/friends, any true Christian will guide you, read the Bible and if possible a red letter version, where words actually spoken by Jesus are highlighted in red, this will help you understand the man he was and what he expects from you. If you do want to go to church choose one where Jesus is honoured and watch out for ones where they speak in tongues or perform dubious miracles!! (As much as I love hillsongs music, I see some quite disturbing practices and displays in their churches) If you need someone to share your problems,if you reply to this comment I will supply my e-mail Don't be sad!! Michael Lilley I appreciate it but its not just about the church, some how I feel as if I'm no good for Christ, I often seek ways to express myself but there is none, and who do I follow, who should I listen to, so many churches have different teachings of Christ and so many religious leaders misinterpret the Bible... I know Christ is real but where is the best place for me to find him?? I'm afraid of the church cause many of them are only good for misleading people.

Elisico Ellis You are more worthy of Christ's love than you imagine, none of us can compare to him or live fully up to his standards but already you are a step ahead of the crowd. By recognising the miss leading nature of some churches and the hidden agendas of their leaders. The Bible is not the inherent word of God that most Christians believe, parts of it were God inspired, other parts manipulated to suit the agenda of its creators. Books like The book of Enoch were emitted but I consider them extremely valuable, study it if you can, many videos on KZbin cover it. Many people who attend churches consider themselves " good Christians" yet they are totally asleep, the refuse to see what is right in front of their eyes ( chemtrails, false flag terror events, controlled media, etc,etc,) yet they believe they are "right" with Christ, even though he warned them to open their eyes and have ears to hear, yet they remain blind and deaf. I don't know which country you are in so it is difficult for me to know what choices you have. All I can tell you is that no matter what you have done in your past, Jesus will forgive it if you ask him and if you try your best to walk a new path with him as your guide, salvation is between you and him, no church can offer you that and many will lead you away from the truth. Elisico Ellis Sorry I took so long to reply, I have had a hectic week. I am not aware of the choice of churches in Jamaica, anyway I am not sure that any church gets things 100% right. I go to the church of Scotland which is as guilty as others for its pomp and ceremony amongst its leadership, whilst the church I belong to is more modern it, like others had members who are full of their own self importance. We wear what we like, even the minister wears t-shirt and jeans. Today we had a good sermon, the higher Archy have noticed a "falling away" dwindling membership and so decided to have a day of prayer ( for themselves ) our minister said perhaps they left it a bit late and perhaps they should have been praying for others a long time ago, not just for themselves. Our congregation is having a prayer walk round our community and he advised people "Do not pray to save the church of Scotland, do not pray to save Riverside church( our church) because that is not what God would want. If the church goes, so be it!! If we pray for the community, the people in it and there needs, then we will have served God. If some in the community find God or Jesus through our work and prayers and that leads them to attend church then that is God's will for us. If however they find God and Jesus but the church declines even on the point of closure, then so be it" Basically he was saying you don't need a church to have a relationship with Jesus and having that relationship was the truth and the way, the path to the light in this world full of darkness. So of all the churches in all the world, I think I have found the only one prepared to sacrifice itself to serve Jesus!! I hope you are finding strength of faith and spirit.
