For those who don't understand the story. Ba'jie is once a general in the celestial court, but he accidentally found out that jade emperor was secretly meeting with tai'yin star that moon lady.(not chang'e). Tai'yin star (the white hair woman) and that white hair man was jade emperor. The jade emperor doesn't want anybody to found out so he sentence ba'jie by the name that he's meeting with chang'e so jade emperor could remove his god hood and turned ba'jie into a pig. Also chang'e(chinese moon god) isn't a name particularly for some one to use, it was a title of a official position in the celestial court which is happen to be the girl that who's serving the tai'yin star and this girl's title is chang'e, the girl (who's in loved with ba'jie) also get's involved into this shit, so she also got her god hood removed and turn into a spider guai willingly. therefore , when ba'jie and chang'e gets back in to the mortals , he was too shameful of his appearance and fear to meet with chang'e. And in another side. When chang'e lost her god hood, she also hate everything and let her nature of spider which is lust and hungry controls over her and did many things wrongly. (you can see her turn form pure to bad in the cutscene) But many years ago that when ba'jie goes for the journey to the west with wukong and jintsanzi(tang monk), he finally meets chang'e. It's also the reason why ba'jie have to act like he don't know his daughter and he dosen't love chang'e anymore. He is afraid of the consequence if jade emperor found out he has a daughter. Erm, yeah guys, just be careful about reading comments like these. Even if it's coming from a Chinese person, it doesn't mean it's entirely true or accurate, or it might just be one version of the story. I have read like 3 or 4 different versions of what actu ally happened, all from seemingly credible sources. For example, in one case, piggy was indeed an admiral* in the court, and known for being a thirsty boy. One time, at a banquet, he barked up the wrong tree by trying to seduce that white haired lady while he was drunk. She was fairly important. She reported it to the made emperor, and basically got him cancelled. He was sent to the mortal realm, now a pig, and in some versions he's meant to live a thousand lives ending in heartbreak, in others something similar, akin to him never being allowed happiness in love throughout his punishment, etc.

the last phase of the boss can be negated by completing this chapter's secret area "purple cloud mountain" . The last boss there gives you a needle, you equip it. Use it when the last boss starts his phase to block the sun. It will turn him back to normal. This exact needle was used to kill him in Journey to the west story. Basically the last phase was not designed to be fought straight up easily. It is beatable, but very hard. You could use the needle to make it easier.

To fight against each final boss of the chapters, there are relic loots from the hidden boss of each chapter, which are designed to help fight these final bosses easily. The relic treasures are important for Sun Wukong to beat the bosses in the original Chinese novel and are hinted at in the game. Once you get the relics and use them in the correct boss phase, you can immediately break the phase switch and kill the bosses easily.

Truth is you can't even blame Bajie. He was cursed to suffer 1000 lifetimes/reincarnations worth of love tragedies as a mortal human for his banishment and punishment from Heaven. Each is actually a reincarnation of him going through the 1000 reincarnations. Imagine going through some Romeo and Juliet shit 1000 times, some are probably worse. Like him returning home one fine day to find his wife murdered and so he committed suicide, or stuff like that. Basically his love will always end in tragedy and will even take his life. In Chinese myth, before you reincarnate you will be made to drink an amnesia soup, which will make you forget your past lives in your next reincarnated life. However, because Bajie's soul is a Celestial, each time Bajie dies in his reincarnations and his soul returns to Hell, he remembers all of his lifetimes and the tragedies that he went through. Imagine going through lifetimes worth of clean slate, growing up, then suffering the love tragedies and then dying, only to remember all the past lifetimes in one go when you return to Hell. This will break anyone mentally, not to mention Bajie was on his 500+ lifetimes before he snapped and tried to escape in Hell, only to fall into the pit to be reincarnated as a pig without even drinking the amnesia soup. He was born into a half pig half human monster. His indulgence in food and women is basically his coping mechanism of everything he went through by self destruction. It's a YOLO kinda mentality. To enjoy whatever he can while he still can for all the shit he had been through. The party Journeyed for 14 years to get to the West. A mere 14 years is hardly enough to wash off 500+ lifetimes worth of suffering and Buddha knows this too. So basically he's letting Bajie indulge himself in food to numb his pain until hopefully when enough time passes Bajie can forget that pain and attain enlightenment too. Bajie might not have attained Buddhahood, but he did attain immortality, and it is his only way to break free from his cycle of 1000 love tragedies. So Bajie helping to restore Wukong in this game is not just out of mere brotherhood and friendship. It also serves to give Heaven the middle finger by helping to resurrect the one they fear and hate.

He can no longer forget, for better and especially for worse. The foreshadowing was amazing in hindsight. And Man oh man, does this hit so many notes when it comes to trauma, abusers and the concept of "forgiveness." There genuinely is no forgiveness, simply forgetting, as well as choosing to do nothing about the situation due to your own insecurities linked to the situation. "Forgiveness" is a copping with you feeling like you can't do anything about the situation or even in retaliation of the actions, or in actions, done towards you or anyone.

I just want to explain the background story of Chapter 4: -Baijie was originally a general in the Heavenly Palace, and was deeply in love with the fairy Chang'e in the Moon Palace. So in the animation at the end of the chapter, Bajie was seen chasing Chang'e, but accidentally bumped into a little fairy in the Moon Palace - Zizhuer, who fell in love with Baijie at first sight. But Baijie accidentally discovered that Chang'e was having date with another fairy, so he was demoted from the Heavenly Palace. -Zizhuer gave up her fairy identity and chased Baijie to the human world. She heard the boss of the Heavenly Palace mention that he would punish Baijie and let him reincarnate as a pig demon. But in Chinese, "turning into a pig" and "transforming into a spider" have very similar pronunciations. So Zizhuer chose to turn into a spider monster in order to be with Bajie. But she didn't know that Baijie had become a pig demon not a spider, and joined the journey to the west team. -In this way, Zizhuer waited for many lifetimes until Jinchanzi's team came to one of the disasters - the spider spirit and the hundred-eyed demon king. At this time, Zizhuer was one of the seven spider monsters. One day, BAIJIE met the spider monsters who turned into beauties bathing in the river. He turned into a catfish and went to peek at the spider spirits bathing. BAIJIE was recognized by Zizhuer. He was the general of heaven that she had been waiting for hundreds of years. No this was halfway through the journey. The monk they were traveling with got captured (for the billionth time) by the spider women who wanted to consume him cause he has a lot of will and would make the person who eats him immortal. Wukong wanted to kill them but refused since they were bathing and naked and he has some decency. When he told Bajie about it he was like bro imma go kill them right now. Then he killed all Willow’s sisters💀. Willow recognized him as the man she loved and went to the mortal world for. They dated, Bajie made Willow pregnant (the sixth sister is his daughter) and all but Bajie was cursed that all his loves would end tragically. Hence he decided to leave Willow behind cause he knows it wont end well and continued the journey to the west

Dude that final boss in chapter4 has an easier way to fight it, you don't even need to go into his second stage, you have to go to the guy with the crane face first to get help. In the original Journey to the West, he's the one that Sun Wukong finds to help subdue this demon, which is why in the final conclusion, the narrator says you've grown in strength but not in knowledge.

I got the needle that helps defeat him and literally got him on my first try, so I advise anyone who’s in chapter 4 to get that needle from the secret boss. It’s going to be hard but totally worth it since it helps me complete the chapter.

This is GOTY for me so far. Some of the bosses in this game are very anoying like this one and I agree with you they shouldnt take away most of the ability you had and slow you down just to make it harder. But its a beatable boss. However games like this really test your gaming skills.
