Imo, in all fairness to Chris Sale, when he actually was on the field, he pitched relatively well. In fact, he pitched a lot better in 2023 than his 4.30 ERA suggests. The problem is getting him to stay healthy.

the real problem with evan white was that he could not stay healthy, one injury after another and when a supposed injury was taken care of it would come back right when he was almost ready to come back causing him to miss even more time..

Injuries contributed to it I agree but checking the transactions even when he was healthy he was optioned to AAA. So he was an afterthought for the Mariners
