It happened for us in chennai Airport and also in trichy Airport. In trichy Airport, hindi speaking officers told us to get out for talking in tamil. We were to go to Singapore from trichy with two kids. We were treated very badly in trichy airport for speaking in tamil, and we said we don't know hindi. Very bad experience in both airports.

I have traveled in Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bangalore airport and have never faced this issue because over there every one understands English well and if they don’t also they bring someone who can communicate with you but in Chennai always they have someone who doesn’t know English. And security also always in Chennai it’s more strict than other airports
