You have something very special. Something not many guitarists on here have. Yes they may well posses the skills, the effort to practice, the equipment and the sound but they do not have what you have and that is the natural ability to connect with the listener, transmitting emotion from your brain to theirs via your fingertips. You are a naturally talented musician up there with the very few. Don't let anyone say otherwise, if they do they are only unhappy within themselves that they cannot achieve what you have young man. Take a bow.

Guthrie is amazing, but I'd love to hear his heart a little more in his playing, rather than his obvious skill in interpreting the melody. I just get lost in listening to Dhalif, and I think that's pretty rare with virtuoso guitarists.

+Thanh Nguyen Dhalif is absolutely a stunning emotional player.. It's obvious who his influences are and he has in such a eloquent way captured the best them.. Then he lays it out here for us to marvel upon and our minds and thoughts journey beyond the efforts that my simple mind could ever explain.. Beyond the Zeta Reticula capturing images that the Hubble space telescope has ever revealed.. The imagination travels well beyond this dimensional realm of existence.. Acquiescing to the journey of emotional divinity.... No drugs ever needed, it's the frequency, vibrational transcendence of soul/spirit.. Well said Thanh Nguyen, to your rhetoric I concur..

A lot of these guys who play the instrumental tribute to Prince have been highly influenced by John Petrucci. His finger prints have been on every version I have heard. This one is no exception. BTW, that is a good thing. You take your influences do what connects with you and add your own soul to it. Well done!

This is not my first time watching this video, this is just so so damn Perfect it's unbelievable!!!! Whenever I wish to feel something passionate I load this video up and I sit back headphones on and I'm off into a sonic Utopia! In music one of the very key elements is not only to when to play a note, that's a given the true geniuses know when there should be no note struck. The challenge of knowing when to play a chord or a single note, to give it some vibrato or to mute it etc is all in a days work when a guitarist plays a piece but what separates the "Masters" from the " Good " players, I believe is to know when not to play, when to give a piece room to breathe to give a note some juxtaposition from its ringing out to going quite. This young guitarist has this ability, thumbs gift in spades. Yes there is a great deal of articulation absolutely but there is just as much precise placement of rests. I am just so amazed by it.Thes moments of rests tend to aid a musical piece build up angst, it lends itself to a build up of expectation. Thankfully this guitarist doesn't disappoint when delivering the result of this "building up" if you will. I just go off into another demission listening to this piece it is wrought with emotion, passion, power and beauty! I must sound like a fanboy but it's not a usual thing to find someone this good at playing with this depth of emotion of feeling! There are many even so called master guitarist that don't have this aspect in their craft. This guitarist here is special. Godspeed!!!
