Gan & Mo deals massive damage at 2 areas, launching area and landing area. Basically at very close range where you'll get hit by all the swords when they launch and at long range where they all meet. Swords also deal good amount of damage in their trajectory path. Also Gan & Mo isn't she, they are they cause there are 2 people. (It triggers me for some reason when you say them she)

They are event only characters and won't be available for starstones. Their event happens generally you just need wait for the it to happen. And about their abilities, Check out Wiz's videos about Mai and Charlotte to get aware of them.

I think I am pretty good with Shiranui These types of events are really annoying and impossible to complete for me that requires other's help (like inviting others,getting assisted etc). I hope they don't bring them in these type of events like they did it before
