It's nice to see someone being fair to the current SpongeBob seasons, sure, it's not the same as the pre-movie seasons but they have quite the wacky charm and the animation quality has improved (to clarify, I'm not saying the original animation sucked, it's also good, I'm just saying they improved). Heck, I don't mind the fact that they're embracing the cartoonish stuff with the expressions and whatnot. Also, I know people don't like the references to older seasons but I don't mind honestly. Please don't argue in the comments, it's just an opinion. If you don't like the current SpongeBob and you HAVE seen the episodes, that's fine but please don't be a jerk to those that DO like the current seasons.

Agreed. I'm not even a fan of SBSP anymore (I mean, okay, I do like the nostalgia it has due to the seasons I DID watch), but like...I'm not gonna hate or otherwise argue with people who do like it - old or new episodes. Just like modern cartoons aren't really my thing, I wouldn't hold it against someone if they are into them! I tried Steven Universe and it was just...Okay to me. No judgement toward those who love it! It's a great concept! It just wasn't my thing. I also wouldn't hate someone if they didn't like the media I personally enjoy. It's all on personal preference, and it doesn't have to be due to "woke" behavior, "being stuck in the past", etc. It could just be nostalgia or having something to comfort you after rought times. Maybe that content WAS a comfort after a rough time! You never know!

I agree,while I gave up on SpongeBob after Season 12 and the fact Nick has become full of greedy execs who care more about the sponge than other stuff nowadays and constantly trash stuff like Glitch Techs and Phoebe and her Unicorn in favor of more SpongeBob content,the post-Hillenburg era of SpongeBob,while not the same as before,I do praise Seasons 13-14 for still had the usual zany charm and energy and the animation has still improved. I just wish Nick would give SpongeBob an end point someday,especially after the fourth movie(Search for SquarePants) and Nick’s parent company Paramount Global merges with Skydance.

I fix the bad episode. Squidward gets sick like in the original episode, but after Squidward leaves Krusty Krab loses costumers somehow, so so they want him back. Squidward at first dosent want to go, but Mr Krabs gives 1 dollar more to his paycheck if he comes back early. Then Squidward comes back and saves the day and finally everyone is happy at Squidward.

Just so you know, that grandpat segment was from the paramount plus special known as "the tidal zone". It was basically an event all three shows were doing where they all did twilight zone parodies, and i think it is technically listed as the shows' first real crossover. I believe that the episodes you watched were just cut from the full special, and i can only assume they did the same thing for the other shows too.

Howdy Strider! I personally want to watch the Plankton And The Beanstalk and Goofy Scoopers episodes the most, the first because I love fairy tales, and the second because I have a HUGE interest in Chuck E Cheese history. Back in the 70s and 80s, Chuck actually had more personality, he was sarcastic and rude, and was basically like Oscar The Grouch [Sesame Street], and there was a ton of fun guest stars, some of whom actually roasted Chuck right back, such as Harmony Howlette, a cowgirl coyote who has similar vibes to Sandy. I think a video talking about the retired Chuck E Cheese characters from the 70s and 80s would be super cool, although I'm also partial to a video talking about the works of Will Vinton [California Raisins, Claymation Christmas, Closed Mondays, etc...]!

It has been a bit like that, but I think it's the result of modern SpongeBob always being compared to early seasons. It gave the writers the wrong impression and they make episodes like these that don't try to stand on their own. I think as a show progresses generations, it should try to be its own thing instead of trying to be what it's not.

The art style of the "Chum People" episode reminds me a lot of an old MTV animated series called "The Brothers Grunt." I don't know if there's any connection between the two, but I swear it looks like it could've been drawn by the same person.

One fantastic episode you missed was Salty Sponge. It’s such a great call back to No Weenies Allowed with Salty Spitoon. SpongeBob is super charming in the episode, the sound track is kickass and both the visual and dialogue jokes are hilarious. Favourite episode of Season 13
