Great video! This was informative and more valuable than other takes. You did not consider preorder discounts, but I won't hold that against you. Personally, my brother and I have bet on the ETBs, tins, and Z&Z premium boxes. We also bought a case of those v boxes because the price per pack couldn't be beat. Missed out on the pin sets :(

I think the tins are best value. 94$ bucks Canadian for 10 tins 2 packs in each tin. That means for 188$ you can get 40 packs(a booster box worth and 4 extra packs) I think it's a great price. The scarlet and violet booster box preorder in Canada I got for 167$ Canadian coming to me in Feb. Thoughts on the scarlet and violet boxes and productS?

It’s surprising how much the Regi boxes have gone up since release and harder to get than the ETBs for some reason. I only grabbed one Regi and 4 ETBs. Have 2 Pikachu V box’s on Pre-Order.

I think the o Lu thing that you’ll find on the Pokémon Center is the ETB plus. Everything else should be available in their respective release dates at all the normal Pokémon retailers

For a display box, I'd keep it sealed personally. Those are typically worth more than the sum of the contents inside.

ya I would flip the exclusive with the regular etb, but only if you are a investor: Supply and Demand. 1) ETB plus 2) ETB 3) Mini Tins 4) bird tins 5)pikachu 6) the 59.99 box 7) the rest. If collector, then just go with what is most cost effective per pack aka Mini Tins and a etb box

I think we’ll have plenty of opportunities to buy into products at or below retail if people are patient. I expect there will be plenty CZ to go around

So your off on your prices. The regular ETB is 54.99 so it is a little more. However this set is a lot of fun to open and will be remembered so I do believe this is the set to hold on to. I will say i was very disappointed in the "ultra premium collection" for our last Sword and Shield set...those bigger harder to get limited run boxes are always the way to go.

Yeah, a lot of stores are bumping it up to $9.99, but MSRP is $8.99. Sadly, the S in MSRP stands for “suggested”, so retailers are free to price it however they want

Wanna know a good investing tip? Don't drink and buy. Woke up to notifications that I had bought 2 cases of ETBs, a max order of PC ETBs, several boxes of mini tins, and 2 cases of S&V booster boxes. Everything hurts.

Honestly, I don't understand why people average the pack prices in the collector boxes, etc., based on the overall price of the box. The packs are ALWAYS $3.99-$4.49 (depending on if you got them before the price hike). Anything above what the packs cost in the box is what the extra items (promos, play mats, dice, etc.) cost at retail. It's only common sense. I wish people would stop saying "this box isn't worth getting because the average price per pack is so expensive." Um... NO. That's NOT how it works.

Which is why I also looked at a normalized pack cost in addition to just looking at avg price per pack. Both of those factored into the rankings here. Depending on what you're after, some people don't care about all the promos and other stuff and just want the packs.

Would stay away from investing in CZ. Pokémon is going to print this to the moon & back. Only way it's "investable" is if , they contain how much is printed or they contain the top tier pull cards with the pull rates in relation to them. I do NOT see Pokémon , regulating how much is printed... So, imo... the only way CZ is "investable" would be to have the top tier cards with a very hard to pull rate.

People have been saying this about every set since Pokemon started printing products. Pokemon has never regulated print runs to cater to "investors". Their goal has always been to get as much product in the market so that anyone who wants it can buy it. I agree they'll print a lot of it, but you can't tell me that 5-10 years in the future that these products won't appreciate in value.

If you are new to this hobby and have an interest in INVESTING in Pokemon - you need to read this comment. NO ONE KNOWS WHAT A GOOD INVESTMENT IS WHEN A NEW SET COMES OUT. Historically speaking, Booster Boxes and ETBs are good products to invest in. However, this creator and many of the others ones out there are just speculating. Is CZ a good set? Yes. Is it good because there are well known and iconic Pokemon in it, or is it propped up right now by the fact it has an INSANE amount of competitively viable cards in it? It's a mix of both. Will it be hard to find at first? Could be. But so was was Shining Fates. And then Pokémon printed it to oblivion and sealed product has not appreciated in value in 2 years. That same thing could happen with CZ. You never know how a set is going to perform until 3+ years down the line.
