I like coming up with names for these characters. And for these two I decided on Rustbucket and Smuggle. They’re neutral-sided cybertronians who took a fondness to a piece of media they intercepted on earth that happened to be the first Star Wars movie, and they adopted very similar personalities and appearances to Han Solo and Chewbacca

Thanks to the way that cockpit is mounted and the non-character face, I hereby dub Chewbacca's partner "MegaHan". That said, I really like MegaHan's seeker feet. It's an unnecessary touch that adds a little class to the a bulky design.

I got an in package figure of the old figure for my birthday and the second I moved the arm, it snapped at the bicep. Im now confining them to the display only section of my room 😅 In fact, my figures broke the EXACT same way yours did. That gold plastic does not hold up.

We need a release of the Hasbro version that has better plastic. I his version doesn’t seems any better in terms of robot modes to me. I got great memories playing with the Hasbro one as a kid. ❤ If anything we should Transformers characters that have Star Wars alt modes. It would be fun to think up all the alt modes characters could get. I would love to see Bumblebee and Cliffjumper as Obi wan and Anakin’s Ep.3 Jedi Starfighters.

You can always tell when the Transformers team had nothing to do with a Transformers toy. As a fan of both franchises, I was so disappointed in this whole line. Bad design and engineering, and why did they think we wanted the vehicles to turn into robot versions of the pilots? Give us new mechs, or better yet, TF versions of the TF characters. Anyway, this does look better than the Hasbro one I have sitting in my upstairs office (untouched for years) but still not great. Certainly not worth $70 to me.

The head sculpts are the biggest improvement. The original line always just made me think of the Megamaid from Spaceballs with the human headsculpts, except somehow even worse. Even Chewbacca here, while still looking like Chewie, makes him look "transformers-y" in a way that actually works.

I've had this set since it came out. It's not too bad. However I couldn't care less about Star Wars and only care about the Transformers aspect. When I got these in hand though, they reminded me of half of the Age of Extinction Dinobots. That being they look more feminine than they do masculine. Or rather, as feminine or masculine as a robot can look in any event. The shapes of the torsos, the high heels for Han, the way the arms sit, Han's Arcee like "boob shelf" and his head looking like Anode just makes me think these look feminine. So these hang out with the rest of my female Transformers. For the Dinobots; voyager Grimlock, deluxe Scorn (the name alone), Slag/Slug and Slash are all female. SS Grimlock, voyager Scorn (renamed Strife), Swoop/Strafe, Sludge/Slog and Snarl are all male. AoE leader Grimlock was also put with the females after SS Grimlock came out to balance it out more. No new names for the Grimlocks yet though. I know, I'm weird. It's just the ones that look feminine to me look like smaller bots trying to make themselves appear bigger with large armor chunks hanging off them whereas the ones that look more masculine are more bulky throughout the figure and don't have slender arms, legs or torsos. All going by stereotypical fantasy fiction aesthetics of course. Slag has tiny upper arms and legs with giant armored boots and gauntlets. Slash has the same thing going on with the arms and legs but also has high heels now. They both have slender torsos with Slag having odd armor bits dangling. Scorn again has a similar arm/leg/torso thing going on. As does voyager Grimlock but that figure has 'birthing hips" at the bottom the the tiny cinched in torso. Leader Grimlock sort of has the same things going on with the arms, legs and torso too but not to the same extreme and was only put with the rest after the Studio Series Grimlock came out. But really, just compare deluxe Scorn to the voyager or voyager Grimlock to the SS leader. You'll start to see what I'm talking about. Voyager Scorn and SS Grimlock are absolute Conan the Barbarian looking monsters compared to their Red Sonya looking smaller figures.
