I used my we scar l gbb a few weeks ago on a skirmish it performed perfectly excellent range good accuracy and nice strong kick with a few easy upgrades. Take a look at one if you can or better yet get one there fairly cheap 😉. Nice review as always sir.

You where right first time, red dot is a MIni Red dot not RMR. The RMR is Ruggedised Mini Reddot and as such doesn't need a cover, it came later. The Mini is made by Shield Services in the UK and sold as the Docter, Jp Mini Red Dot, Trijicon Mini and probably others i've forgotten.It is also the sight UKSF used to mount ontop of there ACOGS in a winged mount on there L119A1's.

As a beginner but somebody with a good amount of disposable income I looked at this gun and said well I should just go with the best of the best but after watching this video I think I would prefer to get a cheaper Cybergun model and just upgrade it for half the price eventually when I learn more about how the guns work.

I do enjoy your videos, they are both thorough and informative. I have a TM MK18 Mod 1 with a prommy tight bore barrel and prommy purple rubber and it shoots like a dream. I also have the TM Scar H which I intend on converting to a DMR. Both are great guns IMO. Saw your unboxing of the SRS A2, looking forward to seeing further reviews after you have upgraded and played some games. TNT get a lot of hate in the Sniper World, but found TNT upgrades to be as good as others. Would be good to see some videos on your tech work as well.

Very nice SCAR there Pete. I was on the fence about a SCAR or M4, went down the M4 SopMod route as loved the classic look. (Even though I've changed it to SopMod Block 3 standard now) Got mine from FireSupport with the upgraded gears & spring pack. Replaced the recoil buffer spring for a Eagle6 one and the recoil is solid. Also threw in a Prommie barrell with Purple & flathopped. I just love how the gun shoots on 0.32's. It's my most reliable gun out of my collection. (Bolt/G&G/ICS all off getting repaired) I do get the lockup on single fire quite a bit, but a quick flick to Auto cures that, so may upgrade the spring when I get it serviced as it's shooting at 320-330 on 0.2 and maybe throw in a Titan as well. Quality of TM's is just fantastic...just so well made & put together. :)

Max Steele thanks Max. I love this thing, and it’s alway refreshing when you take a TM apart to see how well they are put together. I really fancy the TM MK18 but I really want to get the Titan in the SCAR as I’ll want to do the same to the MK18 lol. As for the R-hop, I always sit on the fence with those things but this one seems to be working really well. I did heavily modify my edgi barrel to accept a large patch. Risky business at £120? 🙈

If you really want the recoil system then by all means, get one. I have owned more TM than anything else over the last 20 years, so I certainly do admire their quality and attention to detail BUT..... if anyone tries to insist that an upgraded Scar-L outperforms any other AEG with similar upgrades, they're talking bollocks. That said, tis a nice toy gun :)

Go for it, TM recoils are such nice guns. I had a Scar L for a while no problems at all, the odd fuse change before the mosfet was put in. sold it to a friend and now I have a Scar H

TM ngrs guns have lots of haters but once you own one, you get it. The EVO is a very different beast and an amazing gun but I’d prefer my SCAR. As usual I’ve been doing some major upgrades and I actually can’t believe how good they can be.

Pretty sure the gearbox is the same in both. There are a number of ways to up the FPS. Simply fitting a 6.01 barrel will help, you can also fit a slightly stronger spring. Just be aware that as up increase the spring power you increase the stress on the internals and you might end up changing the piston for a harder one, along with a better spring guide.

It's fantastic! It's one of my favourite guns and they are so well made. Since the unboxing I've done the full TM upgrade and machined a custom EDGI barrel with an R-hop, and it's almost reaching sniper rifle distances on .32's at 350fps. I knew they could be good, but I never imagined it would be this good.

Those uggboot stocks are indeed ugly, but idgaf, I wouldn't want a scar without it. There are some scar variants with buffer tube adapters, but no, thank you. Regarding that aliexpress elcan, does it have the same zero for 1x and 4x? Afaik a lot of elcan replicas have that problem. I am not a TM hater, but almost. I mean I love their gbb pistols but nothing else. Their gbb pistols are great because they shoot very well ootb and they work in every temperature I'm willing to play in. But I was waiting for their AKM GBBR and I was disappointed by it, a zinc+abs gun with approx. the same price as a ghk with real wood and a lot of steel :-/ Maybe it would last longer than a ghk but it's also less realistic on the inside too, I just can't justify it for myself. The same way I can't justify their AEGs either, around here we can shoot with 1.55J, that's a lot of expensive upgrades for an already expensive gun, and at that point is it still a Tokyo Marui gun or an overpriced base gun?

Great review, but why on earth would you pay 400 + pounds for a gun that has shity fps ( I know that needs to be legal in Japan ) has mediocre internals, 6.08 barrel and needs at least 100 pounds more to make it good. Just because it's TM? For me this is absurd. At 400+ pounds I expect something better, this is mediocre at best. With those money I can buy 2 Cymas, real steel, not plastic TM shit and I bet that they will shoot hoter, some even come with 6.03 barrel and mosfet as standard. I know Cyma doesn't have a Scar model but the TM hype doesn't stand as once was.

Web Guard web it’s hard to describe, but they are still better straight out the box than 90% of AEG’s. When you upgrade them they just get better. The build quality is excellent and when you look at brands such as VFC, the price tag is there and they look nice, but the design and build quality is dreadful. Cyma are great, I always sing their praises for what they produce and I genially don’t know how they produce such great products for the price they do, however, the quality of construction is nowhere near TM. You need to remember, it’s not about the figures on paper. Cyma 6.03 barrel or TM 6.08? I would take the TM every time as it’s better quality. I’ve measured so called 6.01 from some manufacturers that have variations of .05mm. TM hop units are in a different league from many manufacturers regardless of the material. FPS means nothing if the replica lacks consistency and the TM rifles are based on the real steel, they are metal where they should be. I have over 20 guns now and most of them are upgraded, the TM is still an awesome gun, right up there with the best. And some of them owe me more that £500. Don’t get me wrong, they are not perfect, they are expensive, and I don’t blame anyone for not wanting to buy one, but, you need to see past the old FPS, mosfet’s tight bore claims, as most really don’t live up to those claims. If it couldn’t perform, I wouldn’t own one, 👍👍
