Got a 6a back in late July, when it launched. I don't regret not waiting for the 7. I don't feel like I am missing out on much. Also got free Pixel Buds with a preorder too. I really like this compact size, compared to my previous S21+ with a 6 7 inch screen. Live the clean UI compared to One UI as well too

Got the pixel 6a back in august of 2022 and I do not regret picking it over the galaxy a53 whatsoever. But if you are looking into buying a pixel 6a I would recommend waiting a couple months to get the 7a instead. That does not mean the 6a is a bad phone, I love it. Good cameras, good battery life, good display.

Got the 6 pro in August last year, few days ago the mic failed so couldn't make or receive calls, took it in for warranty and they replaced it with the Pixel 7 Pro which i was really surprised at. Nice little upgrade for free. Battery life so far is alot better, I was getting 7hrs screen on on the 6 pro, im so far getting close to 9hrs screen on. Screen is alot brighter on the 7 pro as well which is nice.

I am a Pixel superfan. I currently have the 6a. The 6gb RAM is not enough for how smart this phone is. Apps reload constantly. Unless you are truly restrained by a budget, go up to at least the 7.

@@fightnight14 exactly. The software is doing its thing. It has limited hardware so it's trying to make your current task the priority. I understand Apple is able to kill it with 6gb RAM. But even that is still limited. If you look at the channel PhoneBuff and look at his latest speed test you'll see what I'm talking about. 6gb RAM is not enough for Android. The Pixel 6a is fast. But if you're doing the slightest bit of multitasking, like planning a trip using multiple websites and apps (one example of multitasking I do), you'll lose your data or your search results when going back to an app you previously had open.

And a moderate level of knowledge on technology would inform you that 8gb RAM is the minimum a primary computing device should have in 2022. Companies intentionally under-equip this spec on budget android and chrome devices to upsell you, even though RAM is one of the cheapest upgrades that can make. My Z Fold 2 can hold something in the background for 2 days and my 6a struggles to do it for 2 minutes sometimes. That's too much of a gap when they're already downgrading you on screen quality, resolution, and refresh rate. The current sales price of $299-$349 do more to justify this and that should be the everyday price.

One thing to add with the seven versus the 6a you get one more year of software support on the pixel 7 because it launched with android 13 in the p6a launched with android 12 so it’s already used one of its upgrades so if your person that keeps your phone a long time that’s a difference

@@drivecar5888 yeah, the screen is much brighter on the seven and a that’s a big deal in Southern California.,The modem is much better on the 7, haptics are also better, the front facing camera is also a quite a step up in quality, the seven doesn’t run hot like the 6a will if you play any kind of games and I have to say I really like wireless charging so…. I say all this but I really thought about getting the 6abecause it’s a really good phone for the price you can’t go wrong with that takes really good pictures and for the price you won’t get a better phone but I paid amore and I’m happy with the seven.

I think the 7 is great value with the trade in values.. I got 410$ for my 4 year old iphone and I got the black Friday price of 499. If I was to get the 6a, my trade in value was 260 and the black Friday price was 299. As great as the telephoto is on the 7 pro, it would have been tough to pay another 300 versus the 7.

I don't need the few extras of the 7 Pro, yet, because I am a person who doesn't replace or upgrade my phone all that often, I wanted a device that had just been released & would have the longest amount of software & security updates. I went up to the 6A from the 4A, mostly because it was almost free with a trade-in deal. For what I do, the 7 and 7A don't add a thing. The major difference for me is in the cameras, and when I want a real picture, I have real cameras. The 6A camera is fine for an occasional snap, but I don't need it for image creation. Their biggest improvement overall seems to be Android 13 --- a very stable and usable platform, and they all have that.

Like mentioned before 90hz wireless charging better cameras and arguably a better build along with a year more of updates. If you have a pixel 6 to trade you can literally do so for $109 a great deal.

I got my 6a for $130 after trading in a pixel 3. I use my 6a as a backup phone for when I am hiking/backpacking/bikepacking or kayaking. In those cases I'm mostly using the phone in airplane mode for navigation with previously downloaded maps offline (which negates the somewhat iffy modem in the 6 series phones) and if the phone is somehow lost or damaged it's not a great loss. In airplane mode and with bluetooth also off, it gets great battery life. And the screen is bright enough to use outdoors.

The only area the pixel 6a lost to Pixel 7 and 7 pro is in low light photography and videography. If in well-lit situation, the 6a camera is on par with the Pixel 7 and 7 pro.

Really don't know what possessed Google to put in the Chrome cut outs on the lens module. I LOVED the Cyclops camera bar, it took me straight back to Battlestar Galactiga in the late 70's / early 80's as a 5-7 year old. Hope they bring back the darkened smoke strip but add in a Red flash bar at top or bottom of it that activates when you set it up for certain notifications similar to what the Nothing Phone does. That would then take me straight to the days of Kit in Knightrider and Micheal Hasslehoff! Super Cool! Perhaps I should throw this idea to google or a case manufacturer? 🤔

i had this problem about 2 weeeks ago where i couldnt decide between the 3, i lost my pixel 5 and kind of really enjoy vanilla android so didnt want to go back to Apple, as pixels are cheaper and have more features (text to speech, call monitoring, call hold, call menu options etc) .... anyways went with the pixel 7 cause: it was a fair price, the new generation chipset will get you one more year, wireless charging is nice and got used to it from the pixel 5, 90htrz is nice to have and got used to it with the pixel 5, and face unlock. Overall happy with the pixel 7 just wish it was smaller like the pixel 5, and honestly just put the fingerprint scanner on the back. NO one and i mean honestly no one minds it there, especially since it is more responsive in the back and im guessing would make the phone cheaper to make.

With trade-in (Pixel 4a), the Pixel 7 for me was 200 while the Pixel 6a was 50 bucks. I ended up spending the extra 150, as I'm getting more trade-in value for the Pixel 4a (300 vs 250, for whatever reason Google is giving more when I get the Pixel 7). I think the extra RAM and newer gen processor makes it worth it for me but can't go wrong with either option. The Black Friday deal is insane.

@@mayankyadav9384 congrats man....same....i bought it 2 weeks ago.....value for the money. Its smooth. The camera, display is definitely an upgrade from 6a. I had fingerprint sensor issues in 6a, hopefully it's not there in 7 pro. I sold the pixel 6a off market at 15k. Better than the trade in value in Flipkart. Would never suggest flipkart trade in, unless it's a no brand old device.

I have the 6A and my previous phone had 90 HZ and I honestly can't tell the difference. Regarding the processors..being that both were made by Google and are only a gen apart, I don't think you are losing too much. I agree regarding the video though. If you shoot a lot of videos you should definitely upgrade.

I like big phones. The bigger the better. The 7 Pro is considered medium-large to me. Only thing I don’t like about it are the lack of raw power to play beefy games and the curved screen (sometimes good for swiping with a case on)

I'm not getting a phone without wireless charging, and I'm not going back to a 60hz display, so the 6A is not an option. I also don't want a huge phone, and the 7pro cost a stupid 50% more than the 7. The 7 isn't in an awkward middle ground, it's the sweet spot of price and features.

I bought the 6a right before the 7 and 7a came out because i was in a pinch after my galaxy s10 took a crap on me and i love it. No plans on upgrading anytime soon probably gonna use this 6a for a couple years

I remember having the pixel 3. I miss the squeeze feature and Size along with the speakers. Hated the battery life and something else that i don’t remember but i had sworn off pixels cus of that phone. That being said I just got my wife a 7 Pro with 1yr of service for $430 pretty sweet deal as she really only goes too get groceries and church. We’ve been on iPhones for about 2 years now and I’m tired and bored of them I miss root and jailbreak

I think I'll be getting the 7 from an s21+! Wanting to try a smaller phone for once and I love the Pixel Launcher, much cleaner than One Ui. Also the camera lag pisses me off on Samsung. It has no place on any flagship phone.

@@drivecar5888 it was still a great phone in pretty much every aspect. I did find it got a bit warm sometimes with things I felt it shouldn't. I just prefer the pixel way over the galaxy way. I definitely didn't hate my time with it just definitely prefer the pixel and for $200 there's absolutely no reason to not get it. That's an absolutely insane steal.

I agree the Pixel 7 is in no man’s land. It’s slightly bigger than the already slightly awkward 6.1 size and you might as well just go 6.7 at that point. The lack of a telephoto is a bummer too. I rather like the curved edges on the 7 Pro. Anyway the 6A can be had for $300 right now but it’s hard to find a straight up unlocked deal on the Pixel 7 Pro

I am currently using LG V60 which I love that it has a sdcard slot (but I hate its weight and massive screen and probably no more software update support), I like Pixel 7 but then I found this unlocked 6a for $180 so... really not sure what to do now. Should I wait and buy a used Pixel 7 next year instead?

This is probably not the best video to post this comment/question cause this video is mostly a "positive" review of Pixels on the whole but for those of you who have not had so much of a "positive" experience (issues that many others have reported) with the basic Pixel 7, would you say that those issues appeared within a short time of your purchase ... say like within the first month? (return window 😉) I sooo want this phone but there have been so many mixed reviews (some swear by it ... some say it has sooo many bugs and glitches) that I'm really nervous about it. However if most of the issues appear fairly shortly after purchase (read ... within the return window 😉) I'll take the chance!

I bought pixel6a on release it was great. Then I bought Pixel7pro on release and gave 6a to Mrs Yesterday I ordered 6a again and return 7 pro. I think 6a is enough for what a use the phone for. I can use it naked biggest of them all, it has a good size, a good battery, don't mind 60hz at all. there was no issue with 7pro but it was giving me the same battery time as 6a. also I use my phone mostly for social media, texting, WhatsApp, few photos here and there so 6a is enough for me

I actually had a look at a 6a. It was positioned next to the 7 and 7pro. I was quite impressed. I also thought it had the nicest display of the 3 of them . I had to look twice and check if it was a 6a. It's a very capable device for it's price . I prefer it's design too , the 7 and 7 pro look s bit too blingy to me ,also they look like they scratch very easily
