WORTH THE HYPE? Juvia's Place The Nubian Palette • Review, Demo + Swatches

I think the reason they don't have a matte 'white' shade is because Juvia's Place as a brand is 'black owned' made for darker WoC, therefore, having a matte light shade is pointless. Don't quote me on it though. :)

I love my juvia pallette! I have a bare shadow in my lorac pallette that I use as highlight and it doesn't look ashy at all but I blend my highlight

Wow, $50? I just got Nubian 1, Nubian 2 and Nefertiti highlight powder for $25. I also bought a foundation ($20) and a brush set ($35). I live in the UK which I guess is about 6,000 miles away from the USA and the shipping was $12 which I think is awesome. The Beauty Bay were charging literally at least double for Juvias Place Palettes. Juvias have a UK based website but it isn't open yet. I agree! I just ordered both this Nubian and Coral No. 2 palettes for $20 bucks total. JP has alot of good sales right now. I know she bought the palette a few years ago but $50 is a high -- even for the debut. IJS

Judy, I just got the Nubian palette today after seeing your top 10 favorite eyeshadow palettes a few weeks ago! I had to buy it when I saw that it was on sale at Ulta. I've been rapidly collecting more colorful Colourpop palettes this month (it's so bad for my bank) and it's nice to get a more neutral one for every day. Thanks for your review & the tutorial!

The shade right under the light pinky-reflect shade is also a pink color, so the super light highlight shade absolutely works within the palette. I use it all the time!

If you are doing a review on this pallet, you need to inform yourself well to give a true review .. instead you are comparing it to another brand like morphe that has nothing to do with it they are 2 different formulas.

juvia's place has a lot of palettes that i like but the cost plus shipping is just a lot and on top of that there's freaking custom charges in the UK, I'd end up spending way too much. I like that they're a black owned business but I've heard of the controversy they had with sending pr packages to several white youtubers, not woc.
