Worth the Wait? 18 Card PSA Reveal Ft 9 Crossovers

After just over 3 months, my Toronto Sports Card Expo PSA Submission has finally arrived. This is an 18 card submission, featuring 9 crossovers. Was the wait worth it?

Good question! Funny enough, I didn't. I put a declared value of 450 on there thinking I'd get the 9. Obviously worth a lot more considering the bump up. I know that PSA runs their values off the BGS value books (or so I've been told). So who knows how they went about that one 🤷 but no, didn't have to pay for upcharge, and I submitted it the under Value tier.

Confused on how the cert on the mahomes is so far apart?

Oh yeah, they were submitted in two different orders. I originally submitted the first 16 in one order. That night, got the Mahomes from trade night, and then cracked it out. Submitted it the next day through PSA Canada (the group submitter at the Toronto Sports card expo), in a separate order. I had to keep track of two orders on their site. But they managed to combine them together for me!

Do you mind me asking how much it cost to grade that Mahomes Optic? I have those in base, silver & pink and have thought about grading them, but I've heard they upcharge according to what they think a card is worth. Ive collected for YEARS and lived through the junk wax era and believe now Im living through the junk slab era. Some cards deserve to be graded/protected, but people have gone waaaaaay overboard with the crap they're sending in. Im a die hard Chiefs fan, so not in it for the $$$, just want them protected. But, being sick I also can't afford a huge grading charge, so just curious, but only if you don't mind me asking. Thanks. I feel like if I went through and submitted on my own, I would have been upcharge the next tier up (75$ usd if I remember correctly). I hope all is well with you, and you have a speedy recovery! @@icg1of1 DEFINITELY bleak 😂 Not sure which it's more bleak for. For us, think we'd be 👌 with 1 quality WR. Unfortunately for you it's a team catastrophic implosion. I knew they didn't look right when they played us. Felt like we gifted you that one as did Buffalo a week later. I kept saying to my better 1/2 Philly just doesn't seem right. Something is up. I think you need a new coach. You have HUGE talent on that team. I'd love AJ catching Mahomes passes. Your coach acted a fool here after the win. Mouthing of when he got handed a win. Odd. I can never see a coach behaving like that. Could you see Reid doing that? Or any other? Well, maybe Jim Harbaugh. Hope you don't go that direction or another implosion will follow. 😂 I've always had a bad feeling about Siriani plus he looks too much like a scruffy A Rodgers. 😂 ewwww. Anyway, think you're a coach away and we're a WR away, although Jones will probably go for a few more $$ next year over loyalty just like Tyreel the loud mouthed lying freak. Ohhhhh, I hope we knock him around again this year. That last game was awesome. Think he hot like 40 yards or something like that. If we don't make it not sure who in the AFC to root for. @@srjwildcat3589 haha, yeah we'll just have to wait and see how wildcard weekend goes. I really do miss Big Red. But something had to change, and as a result, my Birds got their first ring. I agree with your assessment about both teams. Feels like Reid tried to make it work with a patchwork receiving corp, and Kelce (heck, it worked last yr), and though Mahomes and scheme would carry the day. But defensive coaches get paid too, and they all seem to have adopted similar schemes which limit the big play, while leaving the flats there for the taking. They rely on solid reaction time, and tackling minimizing the gains. As a result of this new defensive philosophy, the Birds seem too stubborn trying to hit the long play, and have become too reliant on trying gimicky receiver screens that the defences seemingly are ready for. I love Siriani, but his inability to call a game, and stubbornness to make adjustments have led to the downward spiral we're seeing now. Here's to hoping that we were just playing possum, and the run game gets unlocked against Tampa and throughout the playoffs. Again, I appreciate your time! Absolute proof that grading is purely subjective and no real Science or consistency to it. That Mahomes was not a 10 and you even said it Urself. Until grading is a computer generated system and not some dude in a factory starring at cards all day long and your grade depends on his system or kinda he’s having, it’s hard to trust grading with these crack and re submit videos

I absolutely agree with that. There have been a ton of 10s in one grading company that have gotten 8s and 9s. I really hope that ai grading takes off, and gives us a more consistent baseline for these grades. Considering grading some of these failed crossovers with TAG to see what the computers say

His cards are hard to gem. The silver variation is a sweet looking one. We'll see how Trevor performs with Ridley at his disposal
