I love this 'medium' sized backpack, mainly as a alternative to the small Loungefly bags. We love them to wear to the parks, but honesty they are just too small for a full park day for us. I would love to somehow make the side pockets on this bigger-big enough for a decent sized water bottle. Thanks, as always, for the fantastic, detailed tutorial!

I am such a fan of your method of going with the cutest fabrics for the darn cutest bags. Jess, my suggestion is for the original bag's straps, I would suggest a strap wrap with a snap or two, over the two hand straps, this will keep them together while wearing the bag, you will eliminate the floppy handles, as well as getting them hung up on something around your person. One more thing I have thought of several times is a wood finger, wood iron, as it were, for helping with the 'finger' pressing of the vinyl and or the waxed canvas. You probably have tried this tool, and there may be a reason it doesn't work for you, just saying. Keep up the great tutorials.

Cute and very useful. Think I would leave off the front handle as it just flops around when being used as a backpack. Also would leave off the piece you added on the straps as it does make it lean out more. May try to leave the straps unseen as you did. It would be a great place to hang a light sweater or blanket. Love your colors.
