We are 72 and had to sell all our EGO gear due to the WEIGHT. Ordered this blower and a 13" Nitro dual string trimmer. I got more than enough to pay for the WORX gear. Our HOA does all our lawn care, but having some easy and lightweight gear to use as needed is a bonus. I use te blower to clean out the garage and dry my Tesla.

Just getting into worx. Got the ego blower and mower. I love them. My battery does not drain much after drying an Explorer. But that's not the point. My kids make fun of me for drying the car with a blower. I tell them, judge me by the results, not the method. I will show them this vid, then make them wash my car... And yes, blow dry it.

That looks pretty cool Phil. Thanks for posting. I have the corded version of the WORX blower and it is VERY powerful but super loud also. That lightweight feature is great. And at less than 50% of the price of the EGO full kit, looks to be well worth it. I like that adjustable sleeve too. Very cool unit, I might have to pick up one of these.

yeah for larger yard work the Ego is better suited as i mentioned but drying cars with the Ego is cumbersome and fatiguing with the weight the Worx is perfect for light duty and car drying its almost like holding a hair dryer and the battery last super long
@internalharm2 жыл бұрын
I got the the 765 ego. Its strong. I got it because I am planning to detach my lawn. The select cut mower sp is good but not great, i need more power. The 2 stage snowblower is awesome. If you are not in the egoconomy, you may want to think twice, it is heavy and i have to put a lanyard on my blower. Edit: Okay I just finish the video. It maybe 650cfm for the worx but it looks very weak. The amount of air it push is fast but very few volume. I would stay away from that and get a ryobi or something that have more volume.

It works (or Worx) lol .. that is what matters most. I have the older Worx 56v blower and it is surprisingly close in performance.
@Trillville432 жыл бұрын
Turbo mode is actually not meant to be used all the time as it's purpose is for when you need a little bit more power to finish the job. I never understood people who run these things using turbo the entire time just think it could've been a setting on the dial but they made it a button lol.
@milanjurich15262 жыл бұрын
Hey AF, I had that unit for around the yard, and even with Turbo mode, it felt underpowered compared to an older Worx unit when sweeping. However, for drying the car, the lightweight aspect would be good.
@autofanaticcars2 жыл бұрын
yeah it is a lighter duty unit and i have a landscaper for the serious stuff I just need something to blow out the garage, driveway and cars and to be honest after using the WORX for 2 weeks I have not even picked up my EGO 650 the weight just wears me out when you doing a few cars back to back it becomes exhausting.
@jellyboy1232 жыл бұрын
i think its powerful for leafs 140mph i even use it to clear wet leafs and small branches twigs a corded worx is the same about 140mph to 150mph plus you not tide down with a chord. i use mine for everything even use it to clear snow off my car and light dusting of snow on the drive plus i use it after i mop the floor in my workshop to dry faster . Not sure what you talking about underpowered? unless you talking about a petrol leaf blower but then you be stinking of petrol plus storing petrol at homes is not the best because petrol is highly combustible. Unless you want the worx 80v but thats double the price . i don’ t have no problems with it unless you had the 20v version which looks identical but has 1 battery rather than the 2.

Funny ive had this for a while yet continued to use my discontinued 56v blower. I did you it a few times last winter at the coin op before they installed their own blowers. I just did a RW on my car yesterday, did not drive it and it rained overnight. Broke out the worx with 2 20v pro batteries and went to work with some detail spray and a towel after. Did the whole car and wheels barely using the turbo button. Battery did not drop 1 bar. Why did i sit on this so long ? Btw sliding the front piece forward increases CFM.

@@autofanaticcars thanks. I’m a Dewalt person but I only have low amp batteries and your comments about worx’s light weight and power and price at Sams made it worth the try vs dewalt’s. Following up. Tried this today and was pretty disappointed Vs my many years’ old Corded Toro Super Blower Vac (215mph/375cfm). With the turbo button pressed it was closer to comparable, but it also ate the batteries way too quickly. Unfortunately going to return it.

I am getting 4 cars on one charge and still power left. this is far easier and more enjoyable to dry a car due to the lower noise and significantly lighter weight.

@@autofanaticcars lower noise ? In the video it sounds super loud. I'm currently using a rigid vacuum with detachable motor that becomes the blower. It's heavy, and I wear ear protection. I’d love to see how your EGO compares back to back. The weight seems pretty amazing. Does the claimed CFM seem fairly accurate based on other blowers you have used? Might also be interesting to see if the unit could be shortened.
@autofanaticcars2 жыл бұрын
the WORX is a joy to use due to the light weight and works great to dry the cars, if your doing more intense leaf blowing in the backyard the EGO has more grunt but the EGO batteries just die to quickly and this is a known issue and unfortunately they deny battery warranty claims which pisses us customer off who spent the big money on one.

Towels create friction which can lead to micro scratches. Touchless drying eliminates that and is the end goal using a blower to get all or most water off after a wash. Once you get into a rhythm it woks excellent

dry a car in 10 minutes of less really but the EGO batteries are not great on their higher draw power tools like the blowers and lawn mowers or snow blowers and it is a huge issue and these batteries are mega expensive.
