This mower is a 40V mower. The power supply is set up to run in series which means it doubles the voltage not the Ah. If it ran in parallel it would be a 20V 4Ah (assuming two 2.0Ah batteries). If two 4.0Ah batteries then t would be 8.0Ah in a parallel set up. However, as mentioned earlier, this is set up in series so it doubles the voltage and Ah stays at the rating on the batteries even if you have two batteries in it. Hope this helps.

Yeah, my 36V 11a/h worx battery died after three years of use for my Worx lawnmower. Naturally it has been discontinued… with no replacement suggested. I’ve been hunting for a new battery to no avail so I’ll have to throw away the whole thing. I’ve now sworn off Worx equipment and any battery operated lawn mowers.
