the Kampfpanzer 50t is literally taken from an author's depiction of a 'future combat tank' in 1958, said author was an 'expert' in armored warfare. Wargaming made it a 50 ton design instead of the fanciful 30 ton design the author had in mind. Frankly why they didn't just use one of several leopard prototypes for the reward boggles my mind.

I guess their thinking was that they wanted this to be distinctive from the Leopard Prototyp A. Except that Henschel's Leopard PT B seems like it'd be plenty interesting since it had hydropneumatic suspension. I'm sure there'd be players excited to get a 4th siege mode medium. Am I alone in being upset about WG allowing the best players to have OP tanks and using them in random battles? I have lost count of the times I have been killed by a chieftain while I barely scratched its paint (yes, I was aiming properly, right ammo, etc). What is the logic in thinking us random schmoes will enjoy going up against OP tanks that are driven by some of the best players in the game??

KOS762 it only shows base pen, without slope. So from 90 degree angle it pens.

A lot of tier 9 medium tanks have over 260mm standard pen? T54, Obj.430, Obj 430 vs.2, BC 25, AMX 30, E50, M46, SkodaT50, T54E1, UDES 16, WZ 120 don't have. That's 80% of the tanks

Even in the hands of not so good players, these reward tanks perform much better than those from the tech tree. This tends to spoil the fun of grinding up the line for a casual player.

You just get into a match, you miss your first 5 perfectly aimed shots, the next 3 shots are ghost shells and that happens for your whole team while the enemy team pens and hits every snap shot, and thats how 15 - 0 matches happen all the time

I have figured out why we have so many blowout games on WoT. All the good players are getting the really good tanks, female crews with all the skills, and thus the gulf between them and the average shmoes is just widening. Have one of these players on your team and they will just dominate.

The attitude of screw-everyone-get-out-of-my-way still prevails in WoT. It's NOT like that in War Thunder. I had a "team" "mate" in one of these a couple days ago. I don't which I hated more: the tank or the shthead driving it. This is the worst thing in the game: the prima donnas in their reward tanks. Next is the wheeled vehicles.

The window on the KampfPanzer 50t is, 200mm thick....auto pen for most premium rounds, bounce for anything else.... so load the gold guys, that will wreck this tank.

that '' window'' is a weak spot...but for tier 9 and 10 guns....it has 200 mm, but when hull down and using 8' depression it becomes smaller in size, btw , even with 50mm side armor you couldn't sidescrape because of lateral turret ring, that tiny bump below the turret on the sides... it is 180mm so pennable by anything u face
