Some history lessions: the t-34-85 was mass-produced be cause it was stupidly easy to make and cost very little, but the tank still has a lot of good things going for it since it's an enhanced version of the t34 and proved to be very effective on the battlefield, the Soviet could easily swarm an entire normandy with just t-35-85's

Tiger 1 and 2 was unreliable easy to break down over complex and crappy transmission and the Tiger 2 was way too big and if you think I'm biased well you are wrong my friend The T-34 and 85 variant was easy to break down but simple to fix and sometimes the armor was fitted wrong and that I mean there were sometimes holes and gaps in the armor of the tanks

@The Sacred Potat A war consist of multiple battles and also that Russians abandoning there own tanks would almost be bad to them since the Germans were studying the T-34s left on the battlefield and they used them which is a bad idea because of friendly fire and that the german gunners and commanders where taught to shoot first and ask questions later and because of them learning about the T-34 Germany scrapped their 20t tank project and was continued with the 30t project also known as the Panthers

@The Sacred Potat I have failed to point that out since I don't look at French tanks a lot and that the French used lesser sloped armor in their early war tanks and about the Germans not using angled armor is because it limits the size of the turret ring and the ability to house a bigger gun and so they taught crews to angle their tanks and that it cost less and gives more working room for the crew so they were really aware of sloped armor and when they met the T-34 and it was hard to kill with their 50 and 75mm, they had considered the sloped armor option and just end it here because i'm tired of typing on mobile and I don't like typing long messages

I remember hating to fight Type-58‘s in my T-34-85 and preferring to go up against other T-34-85‘s because the armor profile of the chinese rip-off is more troll and bounces way more shots than the russian original.

Maybe it's the total amount of chassis it had, the T-34 chassis were built for the SU-85, S-100, S-101, S-100M and other T-34 models with different specifications or maybw he even included the models that were only built for testing. I may be wrong on this but it's just a speculation.

Droodles I really love your work but please don't get me started that t34 both 76 and 85 were the best ww2 tanks... they weren't. If we are going to talk about the BEST, those were easy 8's and panthers although shermans broke down less often. Why do I say this? Well because the soviets were saved only because of great numbers. There are a lot of examples where the crew had to get out of the t34 in the middle of the firefight just to puke because t34s didn't have any air purifying system. Also there are vast number of reports where trackwheels or even parts of the engine deck just fell off the tank because they made it in rush. Also the soviets had the greatest casualty number for the tank crews( idk how much but if you want to know more watch chieftains hatch "the best ww2 tank") because they had an inefective bail out system where you had to unlock the one of only two hatches and also you had to unlock the vents too after that whivh gave you about 30-40 seconds of extra work when exiting the vehicle. For example the germans were in the middle by the crew killed ratio because they also had similar problem and then we have american crews with lowest mortality ratio with only 1/10 soldiers die in a destroyed tank. This is because americans had the best bail out system in ww2. You just push the hatch and that's it. Well if you read this droodles( and anyone alse) thank you. @Nathan Ronco yes exactly they were cheap but the fact one tiger 1 managed to get 50 t34 tanks down in a single battle is really overwhelming and yes people are going to say that tigers and panthers broke down alot and yes I agree but t34s also broke down but fun fact is that there were so many of them that a soviet tankmen litteraly used destroyed t34s as storages for parts😂. And also they litteraly were all the same so you couldn't be wrong with picking up parts while on every 20th tiger there were some minor changes that were expensive to repair and parts couldn't get in time. That's why Tigers were mainly seen in mainland Germany later. They are after all defensive tanks. But one thing t34 and sherman didn't have was that super destructive 88 mm cannon. It could take out any ww2 tank from up 2 km. And yes that's why I preffer german and american tanks more. Americans had acurate and destructive cannons at the late stage of war and the tank price almost stayed the same, while soviets didn't really improve things without increasing the budget dramaticaly. And yes finaly lol. T-34 isn't a bad tank. After all it saved the Soviets from defeat. Yes it is a good tank but not the best. If I personaly had to choose the best tank having in mind that I need to cut the prices and still have a managable vehicle it would definetly be sherman both e8 and regular M4. Why? It was cheap, it proved super effective at african campaign because it had HE which british troops didn't and it really also proved in Europe which we can see because the other countries like Canada, UK and France had their models. They were 60000 T-34 made and around 45000 t-34-85. It was very good during barbarossa but when Russia started to encounter tiger 1 and panthers the T-34 was upgraded with the 85. On paper it looks impressive but in practice crew werent trained adequately and were extremely cramped

The t-34-85 actually has 5mm less armor across its entire hull then the standard t-34 making exposing your hull very dangerous

T-62A only when you don't care about gun depression and the T7 and 8 are trash imo. So go via light line. Whereas for E50M, the T7 is broken as hell and R8 is good. T-54 stock is worst T9
