Is it odd that I feel like harry didnt get alot of attention when young, so he wanted to be just like his dad, at first because he wanted him to notice, but then met Uma. She gave him attention, praise and a leader he wanted to follow so he stayed and they grew a deep bond. That's why hes always close or in contact with Uma because of the affection it has for him. I can kind of see Harry dating Uma since he is so devoted to her and if that did happen it would probably be one-sided for a while, since Uma is so focused on getting revenge on Mal. As well as both of them wanting to gain power. One way I can see Uma returning Harry's feelings/actually considering being with him is that something happens to where it leads to everyone in her crew abandoning/betraying Uma, except for Harry. Due to that they get closer and try even harder to gain power and take revenge on everyone. If you include their on screen chemistry, I could see Harry wanting to date/be with Mal before he joined Uma's crew and became her first-mate. Since he respected and wanted to become a great villain like his father one way he could do that was get with the child of one of/if not the most feared Villain (in his mind he probably thought "she's almost as evil as her mother, she'll probably become just as feared as her mother, she's smart & she's also pretty"). And since Mal liked to pull pranks/do anything to relieve her boredom/curiosity, she probably humored him by having a little fling with Harry/made it seem like she was interested. She was probably wondering what was the big deal about dating & kind of used Harry as a way to find out. Which would go with the whole 'They don't date on the Isle' & Mal not knowing what love feels like because they didn't date out of love/truly liking each other, they were just using each other for selfish reasons. *(sorry for the long post)*

Probably. I mean, Mal had probably been told by Maleficent by then that 'love is weak', so she probably thought it would be fun/make her mum proud to lead Harry on. And I can definitely see Harry using her to improve his status. If we're going to combine the story of them dating with the original version of the 'shrimpy' story - Mal dumping a bucket of Shrimp on Umas head - maybe Harry thought that went too far and told Mal so, so then she told him that if that's how he sees things then 'you're not bad enough for me' so she dumped him on those grounds

I'm all for Uma × Harry or Harry × Gil. I think the Garry (it's the best ship name I could come up with) ship is a little more realistic because Harry is insane and commanding whereas Gil is not too bright and could use some real leadership. It would be a good balance of personalities, plus obviously the kiss. On the other hand (or hook :P), Harry and Uma have some strong chemistry as shown during "What's my name." Love triangle cliché? Totally possible.

That's true, he looks too crazy, but Uma is someone that he listens to. Even when he wanted to hurt Ben, she stopped him and when they were singing "It's going down" she stopped him again when he was starting to get very angry (when he was singing his part of the song). I feel like Uma is the only one (or at least one of the few people) who can stop Harry just by talking to him. That's one of the main reasons why I like #Huma I really like Harry's character too. He has that crazy psycho look in his eyes all the time 😂😂 but he's a really interesting character. And plus Thomas did a fantastic job with his character, I actually believed that he was a psycho.😂 I mean I knew he wasn't, but he made me believe it.

Personally I don't believe that hook and mal "dated" in the past, as mal said in the first descendants, that dating is frowned upon on the isle, and has never gone on a date/ dated anyone before, so I think dove, kenny, and Thomas made that up because dove and Thomas are dating in real life. Also am I the only one who didn't see the chemistry between mal and harry in the very few scene that they were in? I don't think Harry was "flirting", more like tantalising mal. Harry is devoted to uma, you can clearly see that in the scenes that he's with uma, it's also mentioned in the books. It may seem one-sided but I do think uma cares for Harry, it's just that her first priority is getting off the isle, but I do like the idea of Gil and Harry dating too, but y'all know Disney would never do that

i just wanted to say that sense you can see the chemistry on set between mal and harry kenny ortega made that backstory up and in first movie shes not lying. she said that they didn't date but they hung out so maybe harry and mal probably just called it "hanging out". and she also said she has never felt love before , then maybe mal didn't have real love with harry thats why she broke his heart.

I could see Harry liking Mal in the old days, when she was evil, but she rejected him and he hated her for it. Maybe that's why he joined Uma and became so devoted to her, because Mal and Uma were against each other. Maybe Harry wanted to prove something to Mal. He could've joined Uma to go against Mal because she rejected him.
