Hi everyone, in this video I talk about my experience driving a 2022 BMW X3M Competition for a week, from the perspective of someone that daily drives and love a 2020 Jeep GC SRT. Enjoy and thank you for watching!

You need to drive your Jeep SRT in Track Mode to get a good comparison to any BMW M Competition vehicle. They are technically set up in default in Track Mode. When I’m in Track Mode, my Jeep SRT has almost no body role. The active suspension stiffens, it hooks, grips, 70% of the power goes to the rear wheels and sprints through corners. I took my car to a race track and had tuition from a racing driver. He helped me realise the track capability of this vehicle. I’m no professional driver, but now I understand the meaning of the letter R in the initials SRT!

I love Track Mode, just its terrible to drive around NYC, its nonstop bumps and bouncing around. However, next time I hit some smooth mountain roads Ill take your advice and drive just in Track mode 👍🏽
@Louis-SRT6.4L2 ай бұрын
@@driversanonymousNYC Awesome. It would be great if you were able to film your track mode mountain road experience. With the scenic views I suspect you’ll have, that would be incredible. 👍

Thats a great idea! I will certainly do that

@@Louis-SRT6.4L100% agree, Trackmode just transforms this thing differently from Street mode when it comes to driveability. I take mine to Tail of the Dragon on plenty of occasions and it does great.

I own a Camaro, my ex had a intense Charger. I brought a X5 M. Know not same car. X3 M doesnt have the same low end but is even faster then what I have. I went BM3 Stage II and DP’s etc. M cars are different. Enjoy what ever you guys drive🫡✊🏽

Youd be stupid not to. I literally did just this. Sold my jeep srt two years ago. Bought an x4m. Never looked back. Dont miss it.

Interesting. What things do you like more on the BMW?
@Allthingsconsidered115 ай бұрын
@@driversanonymousNYC the reliability for one. It's a workhorse. The speed of course and easy potential to add massive power with low cost. The handling is far better. 160 mph in it feels smooth instead of like a rocket re entering the atmosphere like the jeep did. The interior is FAR superior.
@driversanonymousNYC4 ай бұрын
The handling I understand. The interior on the Jeep is easy to use, for me. And idk the rocket re entering the atmosphere sounds more fun lol

X3M comp owner here, the stock suspension is very stiff but it is improved considerably with MSS springs and even more-so (0 body roll) with KW coilovers V3. Just some insight, cheers.

I could imagine! I had KWs on my E39 M5, awesome setup!

Its Pablo right? hey bro I just wanted to let you know that I started watching your videos periodically and to be honest you sound like a great guy. The reason I started watching you is I was thinking of getting an SRT but I have since changed my mind. Don't get me wrong I like the SRT but I think I'm going in another direction. No dis, but it seems like your comparing two different classes, it would be better if you compared the X5M or comp to make an even comparison. However there is no beating the sound of the hemi, it is glorious. I also don't understand why BMW doesn't design the engine so that they will sound better. You must buy an aftermarket exhaust system (equal length Exhaust) to make it sound better or remove a turbo and substitute it with a larger one. It will sound better but not as good, even the v8 doesn't sound as good. Anyway I just wanted to say what's up, and great videos keep, keep them coming.

Hey man. Thank you for the kind words and the good vibes ❤️and thank you for watching my videos. I hear you on the X5M comparison and maybe you are right. However, I do feel that the X5M is a larger car, and in my eyes, the X3M is closer to the SRT in terms of sizing. I park close to one and the size is pretty comparable to the SRT. The funny part is that I had originally submitted a reservation on Turo for an X5M but the guy cancelled on me lol, so I searched again and found the X3M. I am eager to drive either a X5 or X6M to see how they feel. Also the MB GLE63 AMG, the turtle back one as I call it. Maybe I will check Turo around NYC to see if any are available. You mentioned that you changed your mind about getting the SRT. What car did you end up getting or end up exploring further? Take care and thank you again

@@driversanonymousNYC Well actually I'm looking at a Porsche Macan, (again with the 6 cylinders, lol) I've seen a couple of channels about them on you tube and I test drove 3 and they sound better than the BMW 6 cylinder, but in no way better than a 8 cylinders. in my opinion they are absolutely gorgeous inside. Of course, I didn't really get to put it through the paces but so far performance is top notch (it's a Porche) It's like a bigger 911 not as fast though, but it still lets you know what the name is on the hood. I'd be anxious to see what you think. if you get a chance, I'll be watching. Good to meet you, I'm Rocco by the way.
@driversanonymousNYC5 ай бұрын
Nice to meet you, Rocco. I think Macans are really cool cars. Especially the GTS and Turbo. Ive never driven one so I can’t speak to that but I have driven a Porsche, and its just that, its a freaking Porsche. The quality and engineering is insane on those cars. I think if it will make you happy, even if its a beat up hooptie, then that’s awesome and you should drive the hell out of it every day.
@roccohunter28955 ай бұрын
@@driversanonymousNYC Thanks bro, I'll defiantly let you know what happens. I'm in the process as we speak. And who knows I may even come up there and let you review it if you like, and I get it. I'm in P.A.

I live in Philly. So I always worried about if I have to drive it like a hemi! I’ve been told not to baby it when driving , but as long as you don’t race it or take it to the track. This truck can last forever
@driversanonymousNYC5 ай бұрын
The thing LOVES to be driven. You can absolutely baby it but I doubt you will be doing that if you own this car lol. The only thing that will suffer is your wallet pumping gas
@travisgray75995 ай бұрын
@@driversanonymousNYC yeah I won’t be caring about that at all. I understand that it drinks gas like Gatorade. I just want to know what are the most important things to start with after purchase. I see a lot of people by an oil catch can at first. Then start focusing on water pumps and fuel pumps.

i wouldn't go with german engineering simply because its german. They could do better but won't. There a are alot of great mechanics that won't touch a german car, for good reason. Pain in the butt. I'm about comfort too, as a taller man. I've had 2 grand cherokee's and not had an issue with comfort.

Sucks bc older BMWs were such good cars. E36/46 M3s and E39 M5’s. I owned an e39 M5 for close to 10 years and loved it every day. Still miss that car
