As a Chiefs fan I appreciate your insights! But I would add that the prospect of the Chiefs adding Justin Simmons would be remote. Indeed, he is a good player, but the Chiefs have some young and talented guys at that position who are the future, and they will get one guy back who got hurt at the end of the season last year, Bryan Cook who was the starter. So, I would say barring injury that signing Simmons would seem unlikely. But then again, the NFL can be full of surprises! What the Chiefs really need on defense is somebody who can play alongside Chris Jones at DT. Charles Ohmenihu got hurt against Baltimore and probably won’t be back until roughly mid-season or so, give or take a few games either way.

I would like to see Simmons win a SB ring, but if the chances of him signing with the chiefs are remote, then I would want him back on the Broncos. That said, I doubt that would happen as well.
