I don’t have a Boat but I do have a sea vessel in the way of a Honwave t38ie3. Loved what you have done to your dinghy, I have done some the same but your adding of the rope grab handles is what I am going to do next on mine. Great video loved it and your tender. hi, just a small remark on the fasteners... i would recommend using some aluminium pop rivets wherever possible to fasten alloy to alloy... btw very cool tender, good choice!

Billy, consider leaving all that aluminum bare if you can't get it anodized. Despite all the proper aluminum etching primers we've used, the final paint ends up bubbling and making a bigger mess in just a couple years. I've got three boat builder friends all coming to the same conclusion as we're out here living in the salt environment. We got a group discount on sandblasting all the aluminum stuff in a Mexican boatyard :)

I bought an inflatable dingy 13’ long. Have not unboxed it as I need to buy a motor. Disabled and limited income… that will come later… (hope not much later). It’s cold here now, so no rush. But would be nice to have come Spring but we will see. I bought it as it is more easily moveable with different vehicles. Plus I love fishing. (Have not fished in 37yrs! We have nice large lake (Clark Hill Reservoir) or lake Thurmond they now call it I think. Grew up fishing on it. I want to take it to many lakes in USA. But we will see. Good video! Alton.

Hey Tula Crew! I started watching your channel for the Corsair videos and have enjoyed following your continuing adventures. I appreciate your technical knowledge of boat construction and systems! As a US Coast Guard Auxiliary Vessel Examiner, I've had concerns at times about whether you're in full compliance with US Coast Guard safety regulations. For example, SUPs are considered vessels, which means you're required to have a PDF and sound producing device on board. The dinghy is also required to have a sound producing device on board. Though it's possible I missed it, I never spotted a throwable PDF on board the Corsair or PA 540 even though one is required to be immediately available on a sailing or motor vessel at least 16' in length. A wearable PFD for each person on board needs to be readily accessible and not stored in a compartment. That also applies on the dinghy. And PFD requirements apply anytime a vessel is in use and not just underway. A fire extinguisher needs to be readily accessible if a vessel has a closed compartment under thwarts and seats wherein portable fuel tanks may be stored, a double bottom not sealed to the hull or not completely filled with flotation material, or closed stowage compartments in which combustible or flammable materials are stowed. Your dinghy appears to have the first two and potentially the third. In your previous video, I see you upgraded your navigation light bulbs to LED. If you haven't already, I'd encourage you to make sure they match the visibility arc and range requirements specified in the Nav Rules. This is a common issue when upgrading bulbs. A local USCG Auxiliary Vessel Examiner could provide you with a free Vessel Safety Check (VSC) to go over all requirements with you (though verifying visibility arc and range is beyond the scope of a VSC). If you pass, you’ll receive a decal for each vessel and may qualify for a discount on your insurance. If you're interested, you can request one at cgaux.org/vsc. That would make a great video! And thanks for setting an example by visibly using the ECOS lanyard on the dinghy! Many people still aren't aware that ECOS lanyard use has been required since April 2021 when on plane in recreational vessels under 26'.

I like the dink but I have have question for you guys. I'm thinking about floating down the Mississippi River later this year. One of the things will need is a marine VHF radio. Any suggestions as to what features I should look for. I saw one that had an automatic strobe if it got wet which seems like a nice feature. Anything else I should be looking for? There are diesel outboard engines . They are getting smaller . They could have got one that is about the size of the gas engine they have .I would have got a diesel just so I did not have to carry gasoline on my boat and so I could relax and smoke while sitting on top of a gas tank. That and only one fuel for the two boats

@@bobbates7343 thanks Bob, I have a 9hp on my tender & the smallest diesel I could find was a yanmar of 27hp & it weighed the same as a 115hp! If someone made a dinky little 5-10hp diesel that's not super expensive, I'd buy one in a heartbeat! Also I think the higher torque of a diesel will make up for a lower hp motor...
