100% on the regionals Greg. Here in Australia it's all just local tournies, but there is an organisation that wants to make a travelling circus to each state which is cool. They'd be using existing infrastructure. Having semi and pro on their own should hopefully make for more fanfare. How many teams go into semi-pro just because they can afford the fee? But NXL is a money making business, so we've got a long ways to go.

Read the NXL Vendor Agreement. Aside from food vendors, NXL only allows paintball related vendors. Never understood that. Non paintball vendors would also draw in people outside of paintball to grow the sport. The smallest vendor booth is 900$/event and have to commit to a full season. If I'm a local vendor in Texas that doesn't do any business in Philly, Vegas, Chicago, etc why would I bother paying for a full season. Some of their business plans don't make much sense to me but what do I know.

This is what happened at the GLO in Cleveland several years ago, field owner had outside vendor/sponsors and was basically shot down by NXL, who then screwed him over on field repairs. Same guys run MLP and wonder why the sport is stagnant.

I agree with your points. I would like to see the pro/semi events, and stadium seating. Move pits to the ends, and have preferred seating on one side, and general admission on the other. If paintball is going to grow or expand, it’s time to think bigger and outside the box.

I like the idea of the regionals. I think you’d have to do them at established field though otherwise you’re multiplying your infrastructure cost. That said, maybe they could do 3 year agreements with a field in each region which would allow the field to invest in really good infrastructure that would help every player that goes there, not just ones that go to the event.

Great idea to selling ad space on the field or having ad space on the field. Beings the events have a beer garden, have a beer brand be the official beer for MLPB. That way there is the sponsor money from that as well. MLPB could also partner with a soda company, like Coke or Pepsi. There are so many things the league could do.

Unfortunately a lot of large sponsors are a little hesitant of the nature of our sport with the current climate, Im constantly fighting the battle of the perception of the “markers” to sponsors for my regional SPL/MVPS team.😢

Limited paint format (at some or all divisions). Allow 4 pods in back, 1 in hand, check for empty hopper, chrono. 5 pods * 5 players * X games to win = budgeable amount.

I like the concept of regionals. But I think each region should have their own pro and semi-pro division. It would give more teams an opportunity to make it to that level. I think a good way to test this idea would be to have nxl east and west to start. For world cup take the top 5 plus teams or however you want to it.If this works after a few years, divide it up to more regions.

Unpopular opinion here. I think we should charge all the visitors to the event. That money could lower de fee for the teams. If you are in a roster then you don't pay . But charge the visitor 5 usd for visiting the event and include something a free event lanyard or something like that.

Another option would be free entry to the event and charge $5 or 10$/day for parking. Incentivizes teams carpooling but would still be a moneymaker. Grandstands free to all, VIP extra.

You got to be realistic. Something that paintballers don't want to acknowledge that paintball is just not that popular. Less than 1% of the population plays or even cares about paintball. You're not going to get big-time sponsors or acknowledgment because it's just a niche game. You have to think about it, even the biggest paintball companies only have a handful of employees working for them. Dye, Planet eclipse, HK each have maybe a dozen employees. Too many Knuckleheads in paintball think these companies are like Nike, which employee close to 100,000 employees.

I say mix electronic and mechanical and limit paint and have specific load-outs for specific positions.(electric have less paint / mechanical carries more) Encourage tactical and decisive plays. Use drones to capture footage and Ai to create highlights. Teams should have objectives besides just eliminations. Also themed seasons in collaboration with paintball vendors. To make limited edition, seasonal equipment. So no matter if designs guns or technology becomes stagnant, you’ll still have something to look forward to as far as seasons and exclusive content.

Yes but the league is being played nationally. Have the tournaments regional during the same times if you’d like. It builds to a World Cup at the end of the season.
