Nope! Been there done that. And for the woman who made the comment about us being "shallow", not the case at all. You are the exception to the rule. A good portion of baby mama's use their good for evil and use the kids to interfere in the relationship. I'm talking what I know. You are right about the fact about coming 1st! I can't be 1st I can't be nothing to that particular man! Whether right, wrong or indifferent don't want the drama and headaches that come with yall manipulative kids & crazy ex baby mama's exactly!!

Never date a woman or man with children! It's not worth the headache. Unnecessary Drama and STRESS! There will always be an issue. Either the kids don't like you, or the child's mom or dad don't like you, money issues ( lack of childsupport/ child support is too much ), or the person who has the kids don't want you to discipline the children or they don't discipline the children(which causes the children to be ungrateful and disrespectful) NOT WORTH IT .....RUN FOR YOUR LIFE....KEEP LOOKING .....BE PATIENT ! He/she is out there waiting for you without kids!

No never again! You’re never first! His kids are older and dramatic! You have to think about the money that isn’t going to You all’s household. Pop up visits, just to go back and tell their mother stuff. He and his kid’s mother recently started talking more after she went through some personal stuff that resulted in her going to jail. Then he recently revealed that he doesn’t want to have any more kids after we’ve been together for 2 years! He used to tell me he definitely wanted more kids and kids with me. I’m done and can’t wait to officially leave! People with children should date each other!

No, not anymore. The mother is always around, especially if the child is a newborn, begging him to comeback and be a family. Or the fathers use the child as an excuse not do anything with you. I've learned my lesson and I just can't be bothered with it.

So true! I tried dating a guy with a kid and he would use his son as an excuse as to why he cant hang out or see me. Kids are a burden and just an escape goat for some people.

I did, he was a widower tho and I was real cool with his son. I had no child of my own yet at that time. The relationship ended because I had a job offer in Texas and I was living in Chicago at the time and jobs in Chicago was hard to find. I choose to move to Texas and follow my dream (and get away from the gun violence and high taxes and rent there) but he wanted to stay. I've since met my husband (who didn't have kids when we met) and been married for 11 years with 2 girls.

I'm married with no kids at the moment but if I was single I don't think I'd want to date anyone with kids. I'm in my late 20s and I feel like I wouldn't be prepared to deal with a "ready made" child (for lack of a better term lol). I'd want to enjoy these years without worrying about kids.

I currently date a man with a child and I agree it is not ideal! LOL Especially when there's a bitter/single ex in the background... We now have a child of our own and I definitely obviously feel more connected to my child than his (I mean she came out of me)...but that is a given they can't expect you to treat someone's child better than your own, also with my child I have a complete say in how they are raised with their child you really have no say...so it will be different. It just is what it is...

I guess in your 20's or 30's if you don't have children then that might not be ideal but the older you get the more likely he will have children.

I recently got married to my husband and he has a daughter. I will say it is quite difficult to deal with bc his daughter has behavioral issues due to her ratchet mother. I said for years that I wouldn't marry anyone with kid but never say never. My husband is an awesome man and we are expecting our first child together. I feel like this...I'm my husband's wife. My stepdaughter has a mother so I do my best not to act as though I'm her parent bc I'm not. I will have to be honest that I agree with the young lady that said she would love her child more than his child. It's not even an option really because my child that I am caring is my child. I care for his daughter but it is definitely going to be a different relationship when I give birth. It's really up to the individual to decide what they can and can't deal with.

it's natural to have a different type of love for your child than step child. I just think you have to handle it in such a way that the other child doesn't notice and become jealous

All of you are very beautiful ! But on the topic of kids, it's not ideal because I don't have children and it's just extra baggage plus the possibility of baby momma drama. I just wouldn't want that but if I did it could only be 1 anything else is unacceptable 😂. If he has 2 or more he is not for me.

I agree I don't want any man to put a new women before his kids. My bf brings dinner home from work for me but his son eats dinner with his mom and for a while he used to get upset because he thought his dad forgot to bring him food and I told my bf. It's psychological you gotta bring him food even if it means he eats two dinners. or just bring him a small something bc he thinks I took preference.

majority of the women commenting in my opinion are shallow. the assumption that they'll have to deal with baby momma drama or them not coming first in the relationship is not necessarily true. you can't expect for a man to put a woman before his kids when they first start dating because he has no idea where this is going. also why did the two break up? he could still be dealing with the hurt from that which can make it hard for him to open up. as a "baby momma" that stereotype about us always causing drama is for the birds. I don't bother my baby daddy I don't call him anything! he's engaged and have a whole family with the woman. I don't bother them for anything because is my case it's vice versa. his fiance is jealous of me because of how HE makes her feel. so don't always put it on the women the men are something else totally different they will use the baby momma to get under their gf skin by any means necessary. for almost 3 years I've dealt with this and I've even tried reaching out to her to let her know that I've moved on and that it is him causing the issues. hell i blocked him from calling me all he can do is text for video chat on Facebook. it's not like he's doing for his daughter anyways

I'll be honest that is great that you have moved on...but there ALOT of women who haven't (or won't). and dating someone with kids you never know the dynamics until you get into it...and most women won't show their jealously or bitterness until they realized you are actually getting serious with another woman. So hats off to you for being the bigger person/adult in the situation!! :-)

I absolutely would and doing it now! I work as a teacher and I loveeeee kids! Even the kids I work with I feel like they are my own! I couldn't disqualify a Good man just based off the fact his has kids! It is important to me that they come first and if you really love that man any issues with the babymama can be worked our but it can take time
