Are you heading to New Braunfels this summer?! Add tubing to your Texas summer bucket list ☀️
Here our my top tips to know before you go:
1. We rented our tubes through @texas_tubesnb . It was a super easy process. Cost is $25 and includes your tube, a life jacket, and the shuttle back. There is a military + cash discount as well. There are a few different tubing companies to choose from, and they can get pretty busy in the summer so plan to arrive early during peak season.
2. With that, the BEST time for families to visit is during weekdays before 12pm. Less party people on the river 😜 We went on a Monday around 2pm and it wasn’t too crazy. I imagine the weekends are a lot busier and a different crowd.
3. You can bring food and water on the river with you. Just make sure it is in a non disposable container, no glass or styrofoam. We didn’t bring ANYTHING which was a huge mistake. We were so thirsty after 3.5 hrs. Rookie mistake 🤣
4. There is a limited amount of free parking. We were able to park closest to the river which was great. It’s on a first come first serve basis.
5. When you pay and get your tokens for your tubes, you can leave your drivers license and they will hold your keys for you!
6. Children must be 4 years or older and have an adult with them. I loved that they had tube options with bottoms as well as life jackets for the kids too. This made going down the chutes together way easier and safer. You can also get out and walk around the Tube Chute.
Have you been tubing?? We can’t wait to go again!
