I think sex makes up a big part of a relationship, but sex is not THE relationship. At the end of the day, it all boils down to good communication and emotional connection. Looks fade, personality stays forever.

I've been with 7 women who only wanted sex. Only 2 stayed true to it. I don't think women can stay for sex, they aren't built that way.

Zuri Frazier Lol, yes, a lot of women say this because they think they can "change" the man in the end. It is a problem sometimes. Women who don't mean it really need to not say it, they are making it sooooo much harder for themselves in the end, and they're going to embarrass themselves chasing after something they can never have. I commend you for being a man who is 100% honest in the beginning with a woman. As long as the communication is happening and both parties mean it, it can work. Many women are into this type of relationship, and can handle it. It's just that the actual amount is much less than the amount of women saying it who don't mean it.

I know women who thinks sex is the most important thing in a relationship. So as soon as they find a man who rocks their world, they latch onto him like a leech. Problem is ladies, he may not think you are all that. By the time he gets to you, you're probably not even in his top 10 lovers list. After little time with you, he is off to the next gal and you're sitting there scratching your head thinking you thought the sex was real good. No....only for you it was.

I wonder if any of these people remember that at one point in history, sex was strictly for reproduction. People that base their entire relationship over sex need to rethink a lot about themselves.

Yeah, _maybe_ that was the case at some distant point, like 20,000 years ago, but you can find mentions of prostitution in the Old Testament, In writings from ancient Greece and Rome, from the Middle Ages. You can find accounts of all manner of extramarital affairs dating back thousands of years (having nothing to do procreation). Tell me again, since when was sex "strictly for reproduction" (because it's definitely been a while)?

marinedoc92 My comment was "At one point in history". You just acknowledged that it was like that at one point in history. Thanks for answering your own question. If you take this as an offensive response, that wasn't the intention.

Having good sex helps to smooth over the difficult parts of a relationship. It's too bad good sex doesn't last longer. This is one of the mysteries in life. Perhaps for many of us having good sex means we need mystery and romantic love to maintain the excitement ? In a relationship, after time has passed you maybe know each other too well ? I agree with what Bethenny said regarding how we feel about someone's personality making its way into the bedroom : Nothing kills off good sex like a lack of respect. Aretha, the queen of soul, understood.

+Elizabeth Paige And still girls don't mind hooking up with good looking guys that have absolutely no respect for them.
@katherineelizabethco9 жыл бұрын
I'm wondering if girls are needing actual sex, or is it more a hungering for connection ? Also- maybe there's the feeling of control when a good looking man wants to have sex with her ? Sexual power might be better than no power at all, which is the case for many people- at least in their own minds. I think the power trip could be powerful for men as well.
@BlueSky-qv7cd9 жыл бұрын
Elizabeth Paige Not once in this conversation did I hear someone suggest working with the man who cares about them into making him a better lover, the women on the right was trying to introject some logic into the conversation but the other sex crazed whores wouldn't allow it.

+John doe I believe if there's an emotional connection, where love and trust are combined for both partners, it would be an excellent plan for the woman to let her man know what she wants in the bedroom. BTY : I've heard it through the grapevine men who are not particularly handsome are better lovers because they've had to try harder.
@BlueSky-qv7cd9 жыл бұрын
Elizabeth Paige That goes both ways, I have been with some beautiful girls, and I have been with some average looking girls, and the average looking ones are always more passionate and better lovers, they are usually more intellectually stimulating as well.

I was sitting here like, WHY is Bethenny holding that mic with that big "pronounced" voice of hers. Also, why does this topic have to be an all or nothing school of thought. There are relationships that are great in an 80/20 sort of way, without marriage, gay, lesbian, and even solo (relationship with self) that they are totally missing. If I had to side with anyone concerning this topic, it would be with the woman on stage, far right who spoke on emotional connectivity and sex not being the end all, be all.

great sex is the band aid. great sex clouds women judgment to making discussions to see who they are in this "union" with. you don't actually get to know or see the true colour of a person nature IF YOU'RE HAVING AMAXING SEX. you settle for less or end up marring someone you don't synchronize spiritually with.

The only guy I've ever loved... the sex was great. GOODNESS it was awesome. Haven't had another good lover since. I wish we would've worked out, but he had some issues that messed things up too much. To think about one person thinking the sex is great and the other person not, that's how it was for my most recent relationship. He was nice, we were good friends, but the sex was horrible... but he loved it. I wasn't attracted to him at ALL. It lasted 6 months, but I couldn't take it and it got to where I really didn't want him to touch me that way anymore. You need both, BUT the sex and being attracted to them really helps...
