OKAY DETAILED SUMMARY HERE (BEWARE ITS LIKE LONG (like usual)👹🌺✨) Thank you for watching!! Here it is!! ↓ ↓ ↓ (I'll also put all summaries on AO3 for a better read!) (1/2) Todd was exhausted having stayed up after waking in the middle of the night. He refused to fall back asleep, wanting answers of where he was, how he got here, etc etc. There was also the fear of /who/ exactly had him. He remembered a mans and woman's voice last time he woke up briefly but he couldn’t catch their faces, having been too tired and in pain to turn over. (as if he could even do that physically with his wings in the way) It was morning now though, he watched as time passed by physically when the room slowly lit up with a warm tone from the sun, the sight and warmth of the room almost causing him to drift back to sleep. He simply couldn’t do that though, he had to stay up. Stay. Awake. He continued to silently observe the room, mostly following the lines of the floor to somewhat entertain himself, occasionally shifting against the wall in an attempt to get comfortable enough without bumping his wings too hard. One hurt a lot more than the other, throbbing intensely so that he could feel the wave of it down his back. Not much he could do at the moment he thought however, so best to stay silent and wait. If he whined in pain it would probably bring unwanted attention- something he wasn’t really looking for. But he knew whatever damage that had happened to his wing needed to be fixed, but he couldn’t move well himself to attend to it- Todd kept thinking about his options of just how to tend to himself but he concluded he was just in a vicious cycle of sorts. A few more minutes of just observing Todd started to hear noise, a distant talking. This was soon followed by quiet footsteps. Todd turned his head to the direction it was coming from, curious as it was something new from the past hours. His curiosity quickly dropped into fear as he noticed it was getting louder- the footsteps sounding closer and closer. They were coming to him. Todd refused to look weak, if they were coming to finish him off he would at least die trying to live. A burst of courage caused him to shift himself forward, at least facing the people who took him trying to look the opposite of “willing”. He knew internally that they most likely knew his state, but the effort is what counts you know? Aria led Dr.Whitlock down the hallway, whomst was confused by the story Aria has told her. It was a frenzy with how Aria bursted in her clinic and requested a favor, her hasty review of the story also puzzled her. “Aria- I am sorry but I am not quite understanding your bird man story-” She said apologetically, maybe Aria was just joking around again? “I know, I know! But please you’ll see, he’s real!” Aria said walking a bit faster to the end of the hall. “Is he safe?” “Well-” Aria neared the entrance to their guest’s door, “-He’s asleep so-” Aria turned her way to the door cautiously, honestly expecting the random man to be still asleep. When the sight of a very awake person was staring at her back with the not so nicest look she would be lying that she wasn’t a little bit nervous. She felt as Dr. Whitlock came up behind her and froze in place. “I lied he’s awake….” She noticed as the man's eyes narrowed further at her sentence- “yep definitely awake..”. Honestly though it was nice to finally have the chance to speak to him, so Aria took it, leaning forward to wave an awkward hello. “Hi! Or uh- Good morning! How are you feeling?” She said with a smile, trying her best to not frighten him more than he is. Todd however was a bit anxious as well to ask his questions, first starting with “Who are you” but all that came out of him was a hoarse sentence accompanied with pain in his throat with his attempt to speak. It was a bit of a surprise to him- he was aware his throat hurt but not his damaged voice. How the hell is he supposed to speak to them now? "You can speak?" The woman eagerly stepped forward. "Can you understand me?" Todd only stayed quiet now, trying to determine his next move. He couldn’t speak, maybe he could just jump out this window or something and get the hell out of here. His thoughtful look to Aria looked more like a threat, taking a step back to her original spot, putting her hands in the air for the universal sign of not being a threat. “Don’t worry! We won’t hurt you! Your wing-” At once Aria remembered the doctor behind her, stepping to the side to motion to them- “They can help your wing! She's a vet!” she smiled. She watched as the man perked up in interest, looking back at his wings in thought before looking back at them, confirming to her he understood her sentence. “I’m assuming that’s a yes on the “understanding me thing” by your reaction- I’ll stay here but I think your wing really needs help.. Can they come closer to you to look at it?.” Aria asked. Todd looked at the doctor behind the woman, they didn’t look particularly dangerous, opposite in fact as it seemed she was freaked out over him, staying close behind Aria. Could he trust her though? He wasn’t sure really. But she's a doctor, and he wasn’t a fool to not realize he needs medical help. Begrudgingly he nodded his head to say yes, but still stayed in place. Dr. Whitlock wasn’t so on board yet, turning to Aria to talk to her. “Aria, I don’t think I am comfortable with this- Or him I should say.. I thought you were joking!!” They exclaim. “But that’s a whole man with wings- REAL looking wings!!” she said as she started to take steps back as if to leave. “A-and the size of them.. How many birds did he kill to make those?? What if he’s crazy?? H-how do we know he won’t attack us next!?!?” They were stopped in their tracks as they felt a hand on her shoulder, seeing the older familiar sibling of the small family. “Don’t worry, I thought that too when Aria showed me him, I checked it myself and they’re real though, creepily real and heavily injured it seems…” Nero looked down at the doctor, who was still staring dead on at the man across the room- “But on the bright side he can hardly stand so I think you will be fine to just run if he tries anything- though he knows he needs your help so he’ll probably won’t do anything drastic.” Nero smiles as he watches the doctor visibly relax a little bit, even with an added confidence, he pushes her forward a bit as he takes his hand off their shoulder, waiting to see what will happen next. Slowly Dr. Whitlock walks forward, taking careful steps towards the man who is growing more alarmed the closer she gets. Finally a few feet away she sees the man staring right at her harshly. Taking a sigh before a short breath for bravery, they finally speak to break the silence. “If you want me to help-” She saw as the man’s attention perk up more- “I need you to follow my instructions.. and no sudden movements, please-” They notice as the man relaxes a bit from his stiff position, taking it as their cue to continue. “Are you able to move? I need to set you up on the floor..” The man only looks down, as if to say no. With that reaction she turned around and motioned Nero for his help. After a minute of rearranging and setting towels for something soft on the floor, they were able to get the man in an easier position for Whitlock to examine him, setting him up while putting on a pair of gloves getting ready to uncut the bandages. Todd tried to get comfortable like he did against the wall, but this was a bit harder for his legs to be honest. He just wanted this over with though, so the less he complained the faster it would be he thought. He couldn’t help but notice the taller man by their side, turning his head to get a look at him. He noticed how he looked down on him in a cautious but annoyed state, but Todd also noticed his eyes. They were yellow with white iris’s unlike his- now that he thought about it the other two had very different eyes as well. They didn't change like he did, they all looked unique on their own. Did they have different meanings to them? Do they express emotions in a different way? He couldn’t help but be unnerved- it's harder to tell what they’re thinking like this, they don’t show clear signs of hostility. But to be fair Varian did the same, maybe he’ll pick up on different niches to tell their attitude like he did for V? “Thank you for helping me set up, Nero, but..” Nero turns his attention from the man to the doctor when he hears his name. “I think it’s best if you for his privacy” She said with a soft smile. “You sure?” Nero replied with an raised eyebrow, to be honest he said the stuff about “being able to run away for how weak he is” just to try and stop the doctor from running away in fear. He wasn’t that sure if the man actually wouldn’t do something or not based on how much of a death glare he was giving everyone earlier. “I’ll take your word that he won’t do anything rash, I’ll call you if I need you too!” She replied Nero got up from leaning against the wall, regretting his words just a little bit as he started to walk back to the hallway’s door. “We’ll be downstairs then making breakfast, call us if something happens.” As he walks towards Aria he notices the taunting grin already knowing he was about to get teased. “I like how you’re acting as if you could take him on,” Aria smiled. “I can manage him in that state, thank you.” Nero spat back with a smile, obviously playing along with her little ruse. “Mhm.” “Just kindly shut it and help me with food” he retorted, brushing past her to make his way downstairs, hearing as footsteps begin to follow behind him.

(2/2) Dr. Whitlock waited till their continued conversation about what to make for lunch got more quiet, and when satisfied with a good amount of silence she turned back to her newly assigned patient. “I thought you’d like them to be away for this, we can start now though-” She smiled nervously, but her sheepish smile turned into a worried frown as she continued, “-But I have to apologize, since I don’t know how your species would react to our medicine I am not confident to give you any numbing injections.” That was true, she really didn’t know. Across different species some reacted more positively or negatively for different types of medicine. For humans though they were the most applicable for most medical remedies, he didn’t look human however so best to not assume he could take it. “Tell me if I handle your wings too hard okay?” They said as they gently set a hand on his left wing, letting him know where she was at. Todd felt the pressure added onto it, but it wasn’t that bad of pain since for that wing the real wound was more at the top joint. The doctor was stunned with her hand on the wing, she could feel its warmth and how he moved slightly under her touch. These were real, /he/ was real- With new confidence that this man wasn’t some psycho mass bird killer, they started to get to work, taking bandage forceps and carefully snipping away each wing’s layer of fabric. Todd was okay with this for the most part, or was he should say. This moment quickly turned sour when the doctor started to pull on his wing, spreading it out with a bit of force to see them. He hated it as he felt as the wound site was being pulled, his every nerve telling him to swat her away and let him be. But he’d thought that if he just let her do her thing she’ll get it done faster. So with that Todd bit the inside of his cheek, shutted up and stayed quiet, refusing to make a noise or move. He felt as she prodded and felt around his wing muscles after locating the sight of the exit wound from the spear in his left wing. That surely had to be bad, he remembered pulling it out forcefully to at least have something against the other two guards he’d forgotten about after knocking the other one out. He heard the doctor muttering things to themselves, as if taking mental notes. After they were done examining the left wing they switched sides to the right of him, taking a minute to just look at the right wing. Dr. Whitlock knew immediately what was happening to this one as she saw how swollen it was along top of the marginal covert feathers. She pulled on this wing a bit more to get it spread out farther than the other one, looking at the inflamed site more closely. After setting her hands on it and feeling for the insides of the bone, she realized it was the radius that had been damaged but not broken it seemed, only fractured which was a relief to them. Todd however was quite the opposite, his pain for that wound wasn’t as bad as it was initially but that was only because he let it be, not moving it as much when he was against the wall. It just kind of went numb. But with the new, forceful and sudden movements though it was as if the pain simply pressed play again, sending a wave of fire and pain down his back as he stiffened in shock, his only good hand gripping at his arm for some sort of stress/pain relief. “If I simply just shut up and let her do her thing this will end quicker.” he repeated internally to himself, over and over as the doctor continued to test this wing, pushing it in different directions as she started to speak. “Your other wing was lucky to only be hit in the inner corner of your pectoralis muscle and not the bone, but your radius for this wing was fractured.” she said sternly. “The swelling is good to show it’s healing itself but the way your wing is limiting its motion isn’t good.” She started to push downwards now, seeing how it does in that direction making sure no other joints were badly harmed. “With how big your wings are too I am a bit nervous- It will heal by binding but to get it back to full strength and motion you’ll need intensive physical therapy. We’ll start that on week 3 of healing and in the meantime we can focus on your lungs and get them back to-” Suddenly the wings jolted upwards and closer to the man's body, she immediately let off and put her hands in the air. “oh OH- Sorry! So sorry- I’ll be more careful!” They apologized. They lightly chuckled. “A bit glad to finally see you can feel the pain, no major nerves damage haha..’ Todd was mad at himself for causing her to stop, but at this point it was a bit too much, his back felt like it was on fire and his head was throbbing from pain to the point he wanted to throw up, he fucking hated this. “We are almost done though I swear, just need to check your underwings and then I’ll put proper bandages on you-” “Are you doing alright? We finished breakfast if you want any.” Nero bursted in around the corner of the door, holding a plate. The doctor turned around with a smile with the interrupted company. “I was just about to call you! I need your help to turn him and also update you on his condition to tell you how-” Their sentence ended abruptly as she heard a “slump” noise and the notion of wings dropping out of the corner of her eye, turning around to see what the action was about only to view the man looking more…. not awake? “....sir?” Her call was only met with silence from the man, very quiet silence. They whipped their head back to the taller black haired man on the other side of the room. “Uh just help me finish this up please” they urgently said as she started to reach for her medical bag , watching as Nero set the plate on the nearby desk but quickly stopped his tracks. “w-wAIT CHECK IF HE’S BREATHING FIRST PLEASE” because like hell if he’s gonna touch a dead guy.

I love the atmosphere created in this! Music wise its so relaxing but plotwise exiting, cause it opens a new view on this universe with showing regular humans and a somewhat modern doctor. I really wanna know how this continues and what new parts will be added. I don´t know why but I picture Varian dying in the realisation of what he has done to Todd in the end of this story, which I am sure would be a wonderful scene especially with the beautiful artstyle you´re having! So far I am in love with this whole story and I am looking forward to the next lore episode!! You´re great! Keep the amazing content up!!

@@shivisha2467 yeah, Varian kind of betrayed Todd. They both had the same dream of making the Kingdome they live in a better place, they grew up together and Varian got picked for a special guard position(I dont remember it 100 percent). Todd then saw Varian using his new gained power against a weaker person and against Todd himself. As already said I don't exectly know everything, but you can always read the plot in the comment-section of the animatics. I think the whole reason for Varian acting like that will be explained in following episodes, but hopefully that did help you a little bit

This series is going great!! It’s incredible by how it picks my interest, which makes me excited for every new episode. I think the characters are very well made, and I like seeing their interactions. In this video you can tell how much the injuries are effecting him, but he still doesn’t know if he’s safe so he’s still on guard. Honestly you’re doing a great job making this series and I’m glad I’m able to watch it!!! Can’t wait for the next video!!!
