Best of luck on this new adventure! I recently purged many of my digital pdf files that I will simply never get to. I do have many of the D&D and Savage World books you mentioned so I will be looking forward to your progress. I did resist getting Deep, Abandoned when Brett mentioned (I believe on your initial video review) that he will be releasing Deep Space, Abandoned and as you may recall my fixation on Space Hulk and similar systems, I chose to wait for the space exploration version. Congratulations on taking this leap!

I'm super excited about this! I've been dipping my toe into solo rpgs! I'm in the middle of a play through of Star Trek Captain's Log. I really want to try Dragonbane next. I'm looking forward to the extra content!

Thanks! I've heard Captain's Log is really good. I'm still doing OSR/Scarlet Heroes, but I think Forbidden Lands will be next. I'm interested to see how narrative the hex crawl / survival impacts narrative.

I'll add a comment to say also looking forward to Solo RPG content. I considered going this route and then backed off when I realised a lot of it was journaling ... which is a bit odd since I've kept a diary since I was 8... but it wasn't what i was in the mood for at the time. Looking forward to what you come up with.

and it feels to me like a real dilemma, because either you journal, and you spend most of the time writing, or you very lightly summarize in your head, and then, to me at least, it feels nothing like a ttrpg.

I'd be really interested in your exploration of what is appealing about this style of game-play. Not as a writing exercise per se, as I can see some people could use it for, but as game play.
